The Airport Plaza Premium Lounge is a great place to relax before your departure from Penang International Airport. Take a seat while you read a newspaper or magazine, or watch international TV. Three options are available to give you flexibility for the length of time you need.

The Plaza Premium Lounge has locations in the restricted area of the departures level of the airport. For these locations, you must pass through security and immigration prior to gaining access to the lounge; an on-going boarding pass MUST be presented by all passengers before entering any of the lounges

What To Expect
Due to the current situation, Lounge at Domestic Departure Opening hours will be revised as follow: Sunday to Friday: 11:00 - 19:00hrs Saturday 09:00 - 17:00hrs Please also note the below measurement will be in place: • Social distancing within our lounges • Removal of buffet bars, and switch to digital food ordering of hot food (breakfast/soups/pastas/noodles, etc) and served to customers, individually wrapped fruits/sandwiches, packed salad/cereals/cheese etc • Canned beverages, coffee/tea in disposal cups Before catching your departing flight, head to the Airport Plaza Premium Lounge in either the domestic or international terminal at Penang International Airport. (Note: The international departure terminal is open from 5:30am – 11pm. The domestic departure terminal is open from 7am – 11pm.) Take a comfortable seat in either lounge’s tranquil surroundings and unwind as you make yourself at home for the allotted time selected. Depending on the amount you need, choose one of three pass options: three hours, six hours or 12 hours at the lounge. Help yourself to the buffet counter for hot food and other selections. Enjoy superior facilities, including a refreshing shower with full amenities. Sip complimentary beverages (alcoholic drinks are available for purchase) while watching TV, catching up on email or reading from a variety of print media. Four workstations allow you to focus with efficiency. 5.00Although due to our late flight time we had a short stay in the lounge but it was a great experience, tasty food, clean facilities and helpful staff. I have to give a special mention to Esther on the front desk who was super welcoming, very professional and a perfect person as a front of house representative due to her excellent hospitality and customer handling skills, the company needs people like Esther who make it enjoyable to visit. I look forward to visiting the lounge again and I used Priority Pass to access the lounge, they are an excellent company with a very user friendly app, bravo to them. .

5.00Impressed by the excellent service and warm, passionate smile from Sara – she truly made the experience enjoyable. However, there seems to be a recurring issue with a shortage of manpower from the service provider, which can affect overall efficiency and customer satisfaction. Hope this can be improved to match the high standards set by individuals like Sara.

3.00Due to its small size, the airport does not have an airline-owned lounge. If you use business class, credit card offers or purchase at your own expense, you can only choose this lounge. The area is not large, it feels a bit crowded. The meal is still good, but it is more characteristic to cook local sandwiches and river powder, but the dining countertop is quite small and small, you need to bend through the small window to eat, and you can not see the service staff, if many people eat at the same time, it is rather uncomfortable and disordered. Alcoholic beverages are available at the bar but pay extra.

1.00Despite the sign saying curry laksa I was told 55 minutes to make. The drinks fridge was 30C and all cans were warm:- it was cooler inside the lounge. On asking I was told you could put an ice cube in it.

2.00When we tried to check in were told that the lounge was full and we would have to go to a different room. Collected food from the lounge than had to wander across the airport to the other room. Food was limited and at best average and limited amount of drinks available. Definitely not one of the better airport lounges that we have been in!!

1.00One of the worst lounges I have seen. A/c was set at what seemed to be 29 deg C. The bar is not complimentary and the staff spoke zero English. Why do they employ such people at an International lounge. Turns out one drink is free but they only had red wine. How absurd. Shouldn't they tell this before people pay to get in? In my case I had access as a Singapore air business class passenger but I left soon. I did call the lounge supervisor (Mosha) who was also very rude. Instead of apologizing she blamed Singapore air (how is this their flight besides that they gave contracts to this horrible chain)? She said due to security issue, there was no beer. At least as the face of the elounge take responsibility for the miserable experience provided to passengers. There was practically nothing vegetarian in the micro food area. Never coming back.

2.00It’s good that it’s there so you have a choice. Small, crowded, over crowded even. All seats were taken and people have to stand, waiting for seats. Food, as you’d expect from this type of lounge.
