Rachel was a wonderful guide! It was my partner’s first time to Penang (and mine after 26 years) and she got an in depth tour of the wide variety of food the island has to offer. Rachel was knowledgeable, friendly and adapted to the group’s needs.

Great tour. Our guide, Grace, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Make sure you haven’t eaten for 24 hours before because 15 tastings is a lot!

We did the tour with four in our party and two other folks who were lovely. The smaller size, compared to other food tours, kept the experience intimate and allowed for great conversation throughout. Sandy, our guide, was amazing. Her passion for the people, community, and food really came through. Alongside her deep knowledge and willingness to answer any and all questions made it one of our best food tour experiences and we have done dozens of these around the world. The food was an amazing mix of local, family owned street stalls and restaurants. Each tasting was unique and showcased a facet of the local culture and also happened to taste great! The choices were a good mix of iconic flavors without straying too far into flavors that might be difficult for non-locals (like we didn't have durian fruit or bitter melon as a couple examples). Overall, it ended up being one of our favorite food tours of all time and largely it was because of Sandy who made it so memorable (thanks again Sandy!)

We booked this tour after experiencing a fantastic A Chefs Tours in KL, and it definitely did not disappoint! All of the tastings were outstanding, bursting with flavour and variety. Rachel was our guide and she was very knowledgeable and passionate, making sure everyone was looked after and very well fed. We loved learning so much about the city's food, culture and history. Cannot recommend this tour enough to experience the very best of Penang!

We joined this food tour in George Town and honestly it was one of the best group tours I’ve ever done. Over 4 hours we had 15 tastings, with a brilliant mix of street food stops and sit-down sharing meals with the group (there were 7 of us in total). Every single thing we tried was outstanding. Our guide Sandy was fantastic. She was so informative, not only about the food but also about George Town itself as we walked between places. She shared loads of local tips too, including the best times to get certain dishes, how locals order, and afterwards even sent us links and recommendations for other places to try. The whole experience felt really personal, relaxed and authentic. We left absolutely stuffed and learned so much along the way. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Penang.

I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone who loves food! You’ll get to try so many different types of dishes, experiencing the unique influences of Georgetown’s food scene! Sandy is a wonderful guide, she knows so much about each dish and each establishment, on this tour you’ll also learn a lot about the local history of Georgetown as well as trying delicious food! As a solo traveller, I sometimes feel a bit nervous about going up to food stalls in case I order the wrong thing or don’t have the right money, so having a guide to help navigate all this was great!
