Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park

Explore Moonlit Sanctuary where you have the opportunity to feed Kangaroos and Wallabies under the supervision of Sanctuary staff plus view many famous Australian animals. Moonlit Sanctuary is dedicated to helping save Australia’s endangered wildlife from extinction. Many of the animals kept at the Sanctuary are threatened with extinction. However, just keeping and breeding rare animals is not enough, they must interact with programs aimed at saving them in the wild.

We opted for the full day experience visiting Brighton Beach, Moonlit Sanctuary, and the Penguin Parade on Phillip Island. If you have one day to carve out and visit these sites I can't think of a more cost-effective, worry-free, and fun way to do it! Go West is a seasoned and competent tour operator and our driver, Bob, was a fantastic guide who made a genuine effort to connect and relate to each and every person on the bus. The group size was very reasonable (not too large), and the price was amongst the most competitive we could find when considering all the different tour operators. I would definitely recommend Go West for any Melbourne-based tour options given the experience we had with the Penguin Parade Eco Tour.

Amazing trip as a solo traveler! Had Rick as a guide, and what an incredible vibe he brought on the tour. You could feel how passionate and knowledgeable he was all along - even though it was his first solo trip(!)

Had a great time visiting the moonlit sanctuary and watching the penguins around their boroughs at Nobbies and walking up the beach at the penguin parade. Jai was an amazing guide and did a great job keeping the group entertained all afternoon!

We had a great day with Tim and Tom making our way to Phillip Island, stopping at Moonlit Sanctuary to spend time with the animals and seeing penguin hovels before the parade. We had GA tickets for the penguin parade and were able to see very well - upgrades to premium tickets were also available. Highly recommend this tour to see more outside of Melbourne.

We had the pleasure of having David as our guide and it was incredible. Love how relaxed, informative, chatty and knowledgeable and not to mention.. humorous. Will definitely advice people to ride with this tour ie Go West, as you bump into other guides from this company throughout the day, they are also super friendly despite you not being in their bus. Props to David for the top tip of where's a good "seat" to viewing the penguins.

This was the best day I’ve had in my whole trip. The guide takes you to the most amazing places which I feel is totally worth your money. We went to Brighton Beach, then the Moonlit Sanctuary and finally to Philip Island for the Penguin Parade. You’ll get the best pictures and will see some of the nicest places that Australia has to offer. We also did a short stop for dinner and went to this small town with lots of food choices and had some lovely Italian food. Loved the vibes in the restaurant! I thought that the trip would be too long, but it doesn’t feel that way because of the different stops we made. Also loved that it was a small group of max. 24 in those smaller busses instead of the huge ones. I think that makes it more fun and comfortable! Special mention to our guide, Jono. He is very kind and gives you a lot of information throughout the tour which is a good add-on. Jono reminds me a little of Steve Irwin (which is a compliment haha).

My husband and I had such a good experience on our trip yesterday. We learned such a lot about the wildlife and countryside. Ending with the penguin parade which was both humbling and fascinating in equal measures! Our tour guide was Jai who was knowledgeable, thoughtful and funny. A great combination!! We would definitely recommend this trip!!
