Kiyomizu-dera Temple

Kiyomizu temple is one of the World Heritage Lists in Kyoto. Then It is the must-see temple in Kyoto. Please look at the panoramic view around Kyoto. Because it is located on the Higashiyama hill. Also it has longer history than capital of Kyoto. It was originally built in 778.

Sanju-san-gen-do temple is one of our recommended temples in Kyoto. Because you can find fantastic statues in main hall. Those are called One thousand One " Senju Kannon" statues. Also please enjoy the spectacular views with the line-up of Buddhist statues.

Today we had a wonderful experience with Den, our amazing tour guide. She looked after us so well throughout the day. We visited six beautiful temples in Kyoto, and it was truly a memorable journey. We used this company for tours in Tokyo, Hiroshima and of course Kyoto. Every tour was so well organised, but with this one, our guide Aoi, was simply the best! In fact, probably the best tour guide we’ve encountered. Knowledgeable, engaging, and helpful. This is a great way to see Kyoto in a day, and we would highly recommend the ‘no fuss’, great value buffet for lunch. Overall a great tour and highly recommended.

The tour was okay. I’d almost describe it more as a self-guided tour since every time we arrived at a destination we were just told when/where to meet back up. Just seemed like a lot of money for the experience, at least compared with other tours I’ve booked through here.

Aoi was a great guide. She was fun and engaging. We were able to see so many of the top sites in Kyoto in just a day. The fact we got to each site in an air conditioned bus really helped when dealing with the July heat and humidity.
