Along the way, you'll unravel salacious true stories of Prohibition: ruthless bootleggers, Whiskey distillers, mobsters, the Louisville origins of the Great Gatsby, and even an axe-wielding temperance supporter. You'll also hear chilling ghost stories that have left their mark on the city's checkered past.
Our expert guides will transport you to the days of secret bars and underground revelry in Prohibition-era downtown Louisville. One part ghost tour, one part Jazz-Age cocktail tour, this 3-hour immersive experience combines dinner and cocktails with spine-tingling ghost stories and a host of colorful characters from Louisville's bootlegging past. You'll leave with a taste of history- and perhaps a shiver down your spine.

We will pass by Old Forester Distillery on Whiskey Row and learn about the ghosts that haunt this historic block, while stopping at a pub next door for bites and a bourbon cocktail.

5.00This tour was fabulous. It is a lot of walking, about 4 mi but it stretched over 3 hours. We had a note from the tour operator that you might want to eat before the tour as you just get bites at the places where you stop. I disagree with that. There was plenty of food and had we eaten before we went we might not have been able to eat what we received on the tour. Our tour guide was Christina Shipp and she was so knowledgeable about the history of the city and the history of bourbon. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Louisville or natives, like myself, as I learned so much about my city.

4.00First, Kristina was a delight! Super fun and knowledgeable. Full of interesting history, stories, and local lore. She was eager to make it a fantastic tour. We had some neat stops, but the tour felt a little drawn out. 2 hours would have been plenty. Also, we’ve done many tours in other cities and always left satisfied and even sometimes stuffed. This tour was quite sparse on the food offerings. And after 3.5 hours of walking we were pretty hungry. The Omni stop felt like we were not their priority, having us pull stools and chairs from places and hovering over a couple tiny tables for a small charcuterie. It was a pleasant experience but it ranks a little lower in our overall experiences. However, hats off to Kristina for being a fantastic guide.

4.00The places we went were nice. The cocktails were not all bourbon drinks and they should have been. Only one cocktail was made with bourbon. I did not feel like this was a good value. I’ve had better guided walking tours. Some interesting stories, but not super entertaining .

5.00Allison was amazing! Such a fun tour learning more about prohibition than I ever knew plus adding in some supernatural stories. Food was delicious and I liked how the drinks were picked out for us based on where we were during the prohibition story and new drinks that I wouldn’t have picked for myself, plus mocktails that were also delicious without missing out on the fun! Definitely the highlight of our trip. We didn’t see any of the stops on searches so we definitely would’ve missed out on spots that were a vibe and that had history. Plus she took photos for us so we could just enjoy the experience - such a nice extra.
