Phare Circus is more than a conventional acrobatic circus. The artists create and perform stories based on their own life experiences. Drawing from recent history, folklore and modern society, the artists blend drama, dance, live music and circus arts to share a part of their lives with audiences.
The performers come from unimaginably difficult social and economic background. They discover and develop their skills at Phare Ponleu Selpak non-profit school. They are able to earn a good living and transform their lives at Phare Circus, breaking the cycle of poverty.
By attending a Phare Circus show, you enjoy Siem Reap's best live entertainment, financially support the school and provide opportunities for Cambodian artists.

Seating begins at 30 minutes prior to scheduled showtime. No entrance permitted once the show has started.
Refunds or changes must be made 1-day in advance.

What To Expect
Phare, The Cambodian Circus
Experience Cambodia's most unique, authentic live entertainment by the graduates of Phare Ponleu Selpak non-profit school. Phare is more than a conventional acrobatic circus. Performers use theater, live music, dance and modern circus arts to tell uniquely Cambodian stories; historical, folk and modern. The artists create the stories themselves based on the real-life experiences of themselves and their families. Expect the unexpected. NOTE: Phare Insider guests should arrive by 6:15pm for the backstage visit to the artist, technician and costume work areas.

5.00Loved the Phare circus NGO. As did the multicultural audience. A roller coaster of acrobatic altheticism, dance & music all woven into masterful storytelling- a must do if visiting Siem Reap, thank you.

5.00My family enjoyed the circus very much. As soon as we entered the circus compound, we were greeted warmly by a staff member who showed us where to exchange our voucher for our tickets and explained the theme of the day’s performance. The theater staff was helpful, courteous and polite. We all loved the performance immensely! My 5 year old granddaughter was mesmerized throughout and the 8 year old kept saying “how do they do that??” The acrobatics are performed without any support lines and are beautifully choreographed. As an FYI, the Phare Circus is an acrobatic performance, so don’t expect to see any animal acts. The $ from ticket price goes to train Cambodian youth in the arts and acrobatics, to provide them a way to support themselves and their families, so you are doing good while being entertained!! They have a wonderful gift shop with items made by their students and graduates.

5.00Phare: The Cambodian Circus was a standout experience in Siem Reap creative, emotional, and full of energy. The performers delivered a captivating blend of acrobatics, theatre, and live music that told powerful stories rooted in Cambodian culture and history. It was both entertaining and deeply moving. We also had dinner at the venue before the show, and the food was excellent fresh, flavourful, and served in a relaxed setting that added to the atmosphere of the evening.
