Phare Circus is more than a conventional acrobatic circus. The artists create and perform stories based on their own life experiences. Drawing from recent history, folklore and modern society, the artists blend drama, dance, live music and circus arts to share a part of their lives with audiences.
The performers come from unimaginably difficult social and economic background. They discover and develop their skills at Phare Ponleu Selpak non-profit school. They are able to earn a good living and transform their lives at Phare Circus, breaking the cycle of poverty.
By attending a Phare Circus show, you enjoy Siem Reap's best live entertainment, financially support the school and provide opportunities for Cambodian artists.

Experience Cambodia's most unique, authentic live entertainment by the graduates of Phare Ponleu Selpak non-profit school. Phare is more than a conventional acrobatic circus. Performers use theater, live music, dance and modern circus arts to tell uniquely Cambodian stories; historical, folk and modern. The artists create the stories themselves based on the real-life experiences of themselves and their families. Expect the unexpected. NOTE: Phare Insider guests should arrive by 6:15pm for the backstage visit to the artist, technician and costume work areas.

5.00Would recommend as a great evening out. There are three different shows, we went to the performance of White gold which involved some very talented performers. It tells a story though music, dance, gymnastics and art. Lasts about an hour which is about right. The venue is small but comfortable so you feel close the show. They provide hand fans. Prior to the start there are various food and drink stalls within the venue that are reasonably priced. If you are planning to eat maybe arrive 1h 30 before the show time. We had a pre paid set menu that was very nice. There is a nice shop attached that provides lots of unique souviners and locally made items. It was very busy leaving but we had a pre booked cab ready to go. There are lots of tuk tuks ready if you haven't planned ahead.

5.00We had a great time at the circus. It's in an intimate setting and all the seats have great exposure. Felt like a small Cirque de Solie. It lasted an hour but kept our interest. Made for a nice evening after a very long day.

5.00Wonderful night, well setup, interesting food stations to choices fresh cooked meals and cocktails, very nice gift shop. The big surprise, the artist performing acrobatic movements. The music was really interesting. Buy B section tickets better view. We had C it was still good but the end would have been better in B.

5.00I just saw an amazing show that's a long way from what we call "circus." It was rather a story, told with much love and love; a story that unites all the arts. Something that cannot be described in simple words, must be seen! Eating it 100%

5.00What a great experience! I highly recommend going early to take advantage of the boutique shopping and dining options. The prices in both are very reasonable and the environment is clean and friendly (and paved and covered). There were also student performances, which were very sweet. The performance itself is incredible. A mix of modern dance, acrobatics (no nets or harnesses, which was a bit terrifying), live music and painting. The story was based on a young girl's experience during the civil war and was very moving.

3.00I had a lovely evening - loved the show and the food was delicious. Unfortunately at the end of the night I realised my purse had been stolen ,,,!! Be wary of falling into a false sense of security. The staff didn't seem perturbed, although I was clearly upset and had no money to get home. I had to chase them up the next day to see if it had been handed in. I felt the staff could have shown more concern.
