The tour covers about 3.3 miles (5.3 km) roundtrip with 6–9 scenic stops. At each stop, you’ll have an opportunity to snap incredible photos and hear untold stories behind the landmarks around you. Jogging participants will also partake in light exercises at each stop to keep the energy up.
We’ll kick off the tour at the central fountain in Franklin Square Park with a fun icebreaker before the adventure begins. We’ll wrap up right where we started—at the fountain.
Come for the views—leave with a story and some extra steps on your tracker!

What To Expect
Franklin Square
This is where the tour begins. We'll do a brief ice breaker and warm up. We'll learn about the history of Franklin Square Park and its contribution to the city of Philadelphia.
Our first sightseeing rest stop. We will enjoy the view of the large, beautiful clock tower atop St. Augustine's from atop the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. We'll learn a brief history of both St. Augustine's as well as St. George's and their roles in the development of the Ben Franklin Bridge.

5.00Had a great time on my running tour of the Ben Franklin bridge with Amelia! She was very knowledgeable about the area and it's history. I also like the format of the tour. We did a nice warm up and then it was intervals of running with breaks for viewpoints and exercises/stretches.
Have an informative and energetic "fun run" across the Ben Franklin Bridge and Back.

5.00I had a lovely run across the Ben Franklin Bridge, Guided by enthusiastic and excellent guide, Amelia. She balanced out good exercises and stretching as we worked across the bridge and back. She also shared interesting facts and insights about the Bridge, River and City. Some people do better with social runs, and this was that. Amelia's enthusiasm kept the energy up as we began to get tired at the end, and I was able to finish strong as a result.
An approachable 5k with plenty of local history.

The guide plans a series of stops on the running tour for people to catch their breath and hydrate while taking in the sights along the bridge, and they're versed in enough facts and fun details about the bridge, river, and surrounding area to cover the full length of the tour whether you walk or run. The distance is agreeable even for someone who doesn't go on runs in their own time, but you'll certainly want water! The guide does provide small bottles and electrolyte packs if you forget to bring your own, though.

5.00My experience was nothing short of fantastic, Amelia was incredibly informative throughout the tour from beginning to end. The sights that were accompanied by the facts were wonderful , learning more and more about Philadelphia, and especially the bridge itself was awesome. I recommend this to any and all who not only want to get a great workout in, but also buff up your history knowledge!
