What To Expect
Phillip Island Nature Parks - Koala Conservation Reserve
It is only a 1hr 45min drive from Melbourne directly to Phillip Island. On arrival you will be greeted by Phillip Island Nature Parks Ranger for a guided walk through Phillip Island’s Koala Reserve. You will be given a presentation about Koalas, history and relevance of the Reserve and the last area of natural woodland on the island. Guide to accompany the group and assist Ranger with the group.

From the Koala Wildlife Park, it is a short drive to Phillip Island, a 10,000-hectare home to more than a hundred varieties of animal species. Phillip Island boasts a population of approximately 15,000 which is boosted during the busy tourist seasons. There are three main settlements being Cape Woolamai, New Haven & Cowes.

5.00A very enjoyable trip with a fabulous ending when we got to watch the little penguins. Our guide Fiona was very informative. The koala sanctuary was great too. It was well worth getting the premium plus ticket for the penguin parade as we had an excellent view of the coming up the beach and into the banks.

5.00It's a must do experience when visiting Melbourne! The upgrade to Penguin Plus is worth every penny if you really want to see the little guys come out of the water and waddle up to the burrows fairly close (you can't touch or reach for them, but you are close enough! Our driver, Fiona, was fantastic, knowledgeable, kind, and enthusiastic. We had a very memorable experience and highly recommend this tour!!

5.00Full on day, lots to see and do. Dress for the weather. Fiona our guide was so welcoming and friendly. Her commentary was funny, informative and interesting. She was passionate about Phillip Island and the work done there.
