Explore the mountain temple of Phnom Bok in the Eastern Baray. This 6-hour guided trip allows you to see the temple of Yasovarman, who later moved his capital to Angkor. Bearing a strong resemblance to Angkor Wat, it is one of Cambodia’s great temple treasures.

I would not recommend this tour for anyone with back, hip, or knee issues. There is a LOT of climbing and the stairs are a bit irregular in construction and quite steep. Nothing like walking up the stairway at Mt. Popa in Myanmar. That said, the tour guide was fantastic and professional, he even added in a stop at Banteay Samre on our way to lunch, which was not included on the original itinerary. The view from the mountain top made the hike worth it and it was neat to see some of the temple ruins that predate the building of Angkor Wat.
