Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s busy capital, sits at the junction of the Mekong and Tonlé Sap rivers. It was a hub for both the Khmer Empire and French colonialists. On its walkable riverfront, lined with parks, restaurants and bars, are the ornate Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum, displaying artifacts from around the country. At the city’s heart is the massive, art deco Central Market.
Royal Palace
The Royal Palace is one of Phnom Penh’s most iconic landmarks. The construction began in 1886 after King Norodom relocated the royal capital to Phnom Penh and was completed before World War I. Up until today, the palace is the primary residence of The King of Cambodia.

Great for understanding the history, religion & culture of Cambodia. Our guide Mr Silong was very knowledgeable. It also made it hit harder when he was telling the stories from his own family during the Khmer rouge ruling. There was so much to see & learn. Had a great day & would highly recommend

Great day getting to know the history of Cambodia & Phnom Penh! Mr Silong was a great guide & very knowledgeable. Learnt a lot about the history, religion & culture. We went around in an air conditioned van with lots of ice cool water & cold wash clothes each time we returned to the van. Would recommend 😃

Amazing guide! Mr. Long was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely funny, which made the entire tour so much more enjoyable. He created a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere from the moment we started, always checking in on us and making sure we were having a great time. His stories, humour, and attention to detail made the experience feel personal rather than just another tour. We learned so much about Cambodia’s history and culture while also having plenty of laughs along the way. If you’re looking for a guide who’s friendly, engaging, and truly cares, Mr. Long is the one!

This is an excellent tour! Mr. Silong was my guide and he was fantastic. Getting from place to place in an air conditioned van is the way to go- it would have taken me 2 days to see all these sites if I had tried to coordinate transit on my own. Mr. Silong is an excellent guide- he’s detailed, personable, and is hilarious! When we got to the genocide museum and the killing fields, it was such a harrowing but important experience and Mr. Silong deeply cares about the history of Cambodia and really took the time to story tell and bring this horrifying part of history to life to honor the victims and the survivors. I learned so much on this tour and appreciated Mr. Silong’s level of detail and how coordinated the tour was.

I went solo, so the experience was really personal. My guide was a local lad who could tell the details about every little thing we passed, he had some personal stories when it came to his relatives regarding the Pol Pot years, really interesting. The lunch spot was good too, along with the transport which was a nice car. Walked away feeling like I gained a good understanding of the city, you dont get that when you just do it on your own. Recomended, for sure.

Phnom Penh Private City tour and Killing Fields. Outstanding guide. We were guided by Sam Ang, a former schoolteacher who provided outstanding insights and information throughout the tour. Our driver was excellent and the pace and timing of the visit to each site was just right. The visit to the Killing Fields and Genocide Museum were very thought provoking and Mr Ang's description of the recent bloody history of his country was deeply thought-provoking. In complete contrast our tour of The Royal Palace and the Wats of central Pnom Penh was full of beauty, peace and tranquility. A very full programme also included an excellent lunch and a visit to the astonishing Central Market. I thoroughly recommend this tour to others, especially if Mr Sam is leading the trip.

The Phnom Penh full day tour was excellent. Our guide Mr Sam Ang was very knowledgeable. He also re-scheduled some of the tour so that we still got to see everything but missed the crowds. Our driver Mr Mon was fantastic. The Killing Fields and S21 are harrowing but definitely worth visiting. I would definitely recommend taking this tour.
