Half day tour from Queenstown to Glenorchy.
This photographic tour is an enjoyable outdoor adventure combined with insightful guidance on maximising the use of your camera. You will learn life long skills on the fine art of landscape photography from an award-winning photographer, while discovering some unforgettable locations.
You will learn how to take beautiful landscape images using your own equipment. I also have a few special locations up my sleeve that have magical views.
Glenorchy is surrounded by magical snow-capped mountains, stunning lakes and rivers, ancient beech forests. And at the edge of Mount Aspiring and Fiordland national parks, the frontier town of Glenorchy has provided the backdrop for many films, including The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
Also the drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy is one of the world’s greatest drives, following along the Wakatipu Lake. You will get to enjoy the whole journey as your guide looks after the driving.

It's a rustic town, and an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. Set against a background of native beech forest and towering mountain ranges, Glenorchy’s surrounds are nothing short of awe-inspiring. Glenorchy’s spectacular landscapes have become a prime location for films, depicting many scenes from The Lord of the Rings and the Narnia movies.

5.00If you get the chance to participate in on of Glen's tours - do it! This was one of my highlights during my trip in New Zealand. Never been so happy to get up way before dawn ;) Glen is so knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. It's amazing to see that he still get's excited about the Glenorchy area that he's seen so many times. I loved the many short stops we took when the light was hitting the scenery just right. The morning went by so quickly and I had an absolute blast.

5.00Such a great workshop experience - Glen showed us some amazing spots and the photos we took are incredible. He's super passionate about Glenorchy and even gave me some LOTR film intel. I learned a fair bit about my camera, and gained a lot more confidence using a tripod. Would highly highly recommend!

He has great stories about the area and alters the tour based on weather conditions so you get great shots come rain, cloud or shine! He kindly accepted my non-phitographer cousin to join at half price! Lovely time, I'd highly recommend this tour

5.00I did a morning tour with Glen around the Queenstown area, and it was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my trip to New Zealand. Glen's local knowledge was invaluable in showing us around several amazing locations in the Queenstown and Wanaka area. He was very flexible with timings and picking us up from our accommodation, and his enthusiasm for the day was infectious and made the day really fun. Glen's knowledge of photography is absolutely fantastic and I found immediately improvements to my photos while on the tour. His knowledge and natural teaching ability are of benefit to novices and seasoned photographers alike. Thanks for the tour!

And his words were “best present ever.” We loved Glen’s enthusiasm and passion for the scenery NZ has to offer as well as landscape photography. Glen taught us a number of new techniques and looked after us amazingly - he kept us warm and comfortable (it was freezing!). 5.00This is my third photo tour with Glen. He is both technically proficient with cameras (regardless of manufacturer) and also has eye for beauty, design and frame. Although he lives in Queenstown, every day is like new day for him and gets overwhelmed with the sheer rugged beauty of the place. Glen is flexible and willing to work around your schedule and make additional stop or skip areas that you are not interested in. From photography perspective I learn something new from him with every step I take with him in the wilderness.
