Wow! What a fun day spent cooking with friends! From the pre activity communication to the adaptability of the class, the team at Eat With Your Greek Cousin makes the whole experience personalized and unique! A group of 9 of us were able to pick our menu ahead of time and even with some dietary restrictions we were all able to make dishes that were delicious! The layout of the class was engaging and fun and we learned so much!

We had such a wonderful time! It felt like we were with family and loved the company and the ease of the class. I would definitely recommend this class if you would like to meet a wonderful local family that share pieces of their family food and stories. We learned a lot and laughed a lot. It was a great experience and the ingredients were freshly prepared and tasty.

Dionysia and her family welcomed us as though it were their home. We truly got a sense of how fundamental the preparation and sharing of meals is to Greek culture. Ingredients were fresh and sourced locally - many from family and friends (including the wine and olive oil). Best of all, Dionysia was extremely accommodating of my dietary restriction. I have celiac disease and she went WAY above and beyond to ensure that there was a gluten free equivalent for each dish and that there was no cross-contamination. I learned how to make gluten free bread, phyllo dough (two ways!), and she even had gluten free orzo. She also made a special effort with our 13-year old, who said afterwards that Dionysia was her "new best friend."

Without a doubt, cooking with Dionysia & her family at Eat With Your Greek Cousin, was The BEST experience we had in Athens! - We spent 7 days in Athens over New Years 2025/2026 and our cooking class was truly the most REWARDING cooking class we have ever had. We still talk about it almost everyday! The ingredients were same-day fresh. The lamb was delivered by the butcher shortly before our arrival and all the herbs and veggies came from the market that afternoon. Even the olive oil was from a family member’s grove. All instructions were clear and easy to follow for everyone from ages 9 to 76 and even those of us who aren’t such great cooks managed filo dough all on our own. - And a special mention for my gluten free & allergy friends, do not fear Dionysia’s ability to cater to us. She had gluten free dough ready for me and a clean space to prepare my spanakopita and baklava. In the end, we all sat together, made our own tatziki from scratch with fresh yogurt, and ate until we nearly popped! So! If you have time on your trip, carve out a space for this. Join another group or book a private class for your people like we did. It’s soooo worth every Euro! To finish, I just have to gush a little more….Even though Dionysia Katafygi has been doing these classes for years, her enthusiasm and love for teaching was present in every moment of our 4 hour experience. This was so incredibly special! Thank you! Thank you! Efcharisto! - The Karditzas Family & Friends

This cooking class was the highlight of our trip! My mom and I both learned so much about Greek cuisine. The highlight of the class was the instructors; they were super kind and welcoming and gave us so many helpful cooking tips, it truly felt like we were cooking with a Greek family. All the dishes we made were amazing; we’ve already recreated the phyllo dough back home! This class is a must experience if you’re in the Athens area and want to cook authentic recipes in a friendly environment.

Tremendous! I never thought I could make phyllo from scratch, but Dionysia was an excellent teacher. You will be hard pressed to find someone with as much passion for cooking as she is. Her family really took care of ours and the time flew by. A must do if you have any interest in greek cuisine and want to learn more.

Absolutely delightful! 20 nutrition students attended. Some were vegetarian, some lactose-free, and the instructors adapted everything wonderfully. We cooked Greek salads, pita, and moussaka, learning about healthy cooking and traditional Greek ingredients. The location is central, within walking distance of major sights. A perfect educational and fun experience!

Great afternoon in Athens. We chose Sunday as most things are closed, we loved the class! We learned new techniques, ate delicious foods, tasted Greek wine, olive oil and honey. We enjoyed every minute. After a hands on cooking experience, from grating the tomatoes, squeezing the spinach, rolling phyllo and more every bit was fun. We enjoyed our feast on the rooftop. We all would highly recommend this class ( we have done cooking classes everywhere we go and this was by far the best one)
