They handed me the keys to a customized Jeep, or rather, “Cougar” had them, our fearless driver/host cowboy and just like that I became equal parts explorer and navigator (didn't even have to call shotgun)! Colorado Springs rolled out the red carpet and sandstone, Garden of the Gods, specifically where every rock formation has a name, a back story and better branding than most startups. Balanced Rock? Nailed it! Kissing Camels? A bit on the nose but I respect the commitment Cathedral Spires? Now we're getting dramatic. Meanwhile I'm bouncing along thinking I've named things and pets with less intention…lol how do I get in on this?? Cougar handled the Jeep like it had something to prove; climbing, dipping, and pausing just long enough for photos like he knew the terrain personally. The trading post delivered the expected mix of souvenirs and the things I didn't even know I needed until I did (aka a pound of fudge) and the Visitor Center; equal parts education and subtle reminder that nature in fact got here first and did it better. Period. All told, its a place where geology shows off, your camera works overtime, and you leave wondering if you should start naming things in your own life with just a little bit more flair. Thanks Cougar your flexibly named new friend and navigator Robert/Jim/Joe/Chuck/Sam and all the other monikers I earned this adventure!

My nephew and I did a 4 hour tour of the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. It was snowy and a bit cold and some of Pikes Peak was closed that day. We had heated seats to warm us up, and our driver modified the route to get us on Pike's Peak as each gate was being opened after they considered it cleared from the snow. There were lots of historical details and current events discussed. This trip on the Jeep saved my nephew's car from making the climb and gave him a chance to look around. It was a beautiful and interesting experience.

Chipita was a brilliant and engaging guide! Each guide we met was fabulous! The views are unmatched. The history told to us by Chipita allowed us to feel part of the history itself! A must do on your list of places to be! (Sorry, my husband doesn’t know camels from beavers!🤣)

Gizmo was our tour guide in an open-air jeep. He was knowledgeable and friendly and narrated the history of our two part tour along the way. We started and ended the tour at the Garden of the Gods which is a warm and magical city park (understatement considering the beauty of the scenery including mountain goats along narrow ridges.) The tour up Pikes Peak was sunny but cold and windy... and guests were provided wool blankets and large jackets that were clean and needed! The clear views were spectacular!!! The visitor center and museum at the top showed me that people run races to the top, drive race cars and both men and women have been exploring the peak for years if not centuries. Once in a lifetime! Drink lots of water to manage altitude sickness.

We had an absolutely amazing experience on our family Jeep tour through Garden of the Gods and around Pikes Peak! Our guide, Gizmo, truly made the trip unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area and shared everything in such an engaging and easy-to-understand way. What really set him apart was his personality—he perfectly blended fascinating information with some top-tier dad jokes that kept both the teens and the elders in our group laughing the entire time. It’s not easy to keep all ages entertained, but Gizmo nailed it. This was hands down one of the best guided tours we’ve ever had. We highly recommend this experience and Adventures Out West to anyone visiting the area!

AxMan, with Adventures Out West, was an absolutely outstanding tour guide for our recent College (State Univ. of NY Cortland) Women's Reunion in Colorado Springs. As a scientist, I was really impressed with AxMan's grasp of the local Garden of the Gods physical and cultural geography -- geology, wildlife, vegetation, and history. What was most refreshing, was his sense of humor, and intellectual curiosity! He is a great communicator, and engaged each and every one of us on the Tour. Ask for him if you take the Garden of the Gods Jeep Tour, and you won't be disappointed!

Fabulous experience. Curly Bill? Was our tour guide. Dragonfly was the jeep. I learned so much. He gave us tips on where to go next. My first time in Colorado. We are here for a wedding.

Our family and I had planned to drive through The arden of the Gods, as we had before. However, upon visiting the Visitor's Center and learning about the Jeep Tour, and since the weather was glorious, we decided to do something different. WELL, it truly EXCEEDED our expectations. What a GREAT experience! Preacher, our driver and guide was funny, friendly, and very informative. The Jeep was comfortable, and the entire experience was really a new way to experience this majestic gem of CO Springs, and we would absolutely do it again!
