The Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak are two of the most famous attractions in Colorado, and we’ve packed them into a single tour. You get to explore the giant red rock formations in this National Natural Landmark during your picnic lunch before you ride the Cog Railway to the highest summit in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains at 14,115 feet.
Be prepared for communal, conversational seating (meaning opposing rows face each other, typical of train travel). For taller guests, that means you may be knocking knees a bit. To ride comfortably, we recommend that you strategically sit across from a short person. You're certainly not required to chat with the people across from you, even if you came together. But who knows! You might make a friend and have some laughs or a fun "small world" moment. We love those!

The Cog train did not go to the top with no real reason provided. We returned 1 1/2 hrs early and the tour driver did not come to pick us up until close to the originally scheduled time. I tried to call the tour company and got no answer. This is unacceptable. I understand that there may be a good reason for the train to not go to the summit, but there should be a way to communicate the schedule change so we didn’t have to wait in the rain for over an hour.

Great experience, Garden of Gods was the best part of the tour. The driver-guide was amazing. Professional and with fantastic interaction within all the small group. All was perfect

Though this is a long tour, it is well worth the time. Especially if you have Jason as a tour guide. You get to see many sites. The Garden of the Gods is especially nice. The Pikes Peak Cog tour to me is a one and done type of thing. Breath taking more ways than one. Jason picked us up at the train station right on time. He is also one of the highlights of the trip. Jason grew up in the area and knows it well. Blends in humor with the many facts you will learn. He gave us a few options to consider as time permits. Wonderful experience overall. Spend the money and enjoy the day. Well worth it.

Our guide, Jason, has a genuine passion for his home state. He went out of his way to make our day memorable-we all became “single-serve friends”! He was fun and very knowledgeable….it was a great day!!

The tour leader, Jason, was awesome. He did a great job keeping everyone entertained for the whole day. The train ride looks like it would have been great but we only made it to the 12,120 foot mark. It had heavily snowed the previous two days and the track wasn't cleared all the way to the top.
