Perth
Join us on tour for a day exploring some of the West Coast’s most stunning natural regions. Leave behind city life for a one-day treat to some of Western Australia’s best natural wonders.
Guilderton
After 1.5 hours from Perth, we stop to stretch our legs and take in the views from Guilderton Lookout, replacing the Lancelin stop due to its temporary closure. This stunning viewpoint offers panoramic views of the vast sand dunes, which are part of the largest network of sand dunes in Western Australia. The gigantic, snow-white dunes create a striking contrast against the glistening turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean in the distance. The lookout is accessed by 83 steps (15 more than Lancelin) and takes approximately 7 minutes to walk up. With toilets and a cafe available at the carpark, this stop will not affect the overall length of the tour, as the timing remains the same.

Western Australia is huge (4 times the size of Texas) so expect some fairly long drive times. Driver and guide was great, coach comfortable. Dinner was at the only picnic area and very pleasant - the other company's dinner was in the car park next to the noisy bus. Skies became cloudy so no stars, but our guide tried two other areas on the way back in case it cleared enough.

Quite a long journey in the mini bus but well worth while. The skies were clear, the milky way shone and we explored skies not visible from the Northern hemisphere.

Kasper is a very knowledgeable guide. Trip format is good for travellers and gives one enough time at each place. Lovely sites. One point of confusion is that booking is made with a third party company (Wildlife) but the tour is actually by AutoPia. Maybe look at booking directly with Autopia if that is possible.

A big day of driving was broken up with a couple of stops at some interesting and picturesque places. Casper and Beth were brilliant guides, very warm and welcoming and shared loads of information about the flora, fauna and stars, linking it all back to aboriginal culture where possible. The highlights of the tour were standing and taking in the Indian Ocean at Moore River, the immense Pinnacles in the vast dessert, the deep-pink sunset and despite many clouds, a clear patch sky to observe so many amazing stars! As our accommodation was on the same street as the drop-off, Casper was also exceptionally kind in dropping us of at our accommodation and saving us (2 adults and 3 kids) a 20minute walk - thanks Casper! Would highly recommend this tour!

A relaxing and enjoyable trip to a remarkable site. Ellie was a fantastic host: friendly, down-to-earth and full of fascinating information. I really appreciated the details about the flora and fauna and the insight into Aboriginal culture along the way - no easy task while you're also driving a minibus! The stops before the desert offered a good opportunity to stretch your legs and breathe in the coastal air, but of course the highlight is the Pinnacles. Ellie offered helpful advice about where to view the sunset and left us to it while she prepared the spread. After a plentiful meal (which can be tailored to accommodate dietary requirements, and included vegan wine), we saw the moon rise over the desert then sat back to talk about the stars. We saw Jupiter and magellanic clouds, and overall had a really good day out. Just a few things of things to note in case it is of interest to others: * Your small group may be combined with another small group for the supper and stargazing elements. I must also commend fellow tour guide Beth on being equally lovely and knowledgeable. * The Pinnacles Desert Discovery Centre will be closed by the time you arrive. * Your time at the Pinnacles and the stops along the way is your own to use as you wish.

Overall just an amazing experience. From the greeting to the good bye, all was above and beyond. Greeted on time, departure on time. Our driver/tour guide was very informative along the way. Stops were well timed and planned with enough time at each to experience the area. The picnic dinner was perfect for the outing.

We had a great time - our tour guide was knowledgeable. She seems to be a Steward of Nature. Great views along the way. Informative and spectacular landscape of the Pinnacles. An experience to remember the sunset and star gazing.

Great day trip broken up with interesting stops along the way there as it is a couple of hours solid driving otherwise. Go when the moon is less as its light affects the quality and amount of stars you see Amazing white sand dunes and the pinnacles themselves fascinating and Interesting forms. Peaceful tranquil place to watch the sunset. Our driver Elly was fun, friendly and informative. The BBQ under the stars and star viewing through the telescope completed a great trip. Plenty of yummy food and options for all diets. Highly recommend this trip if you get the chance.
