Perth
Join us on tour for a day exploring some of the West Coast’s most stunning natural regions. Leave behind city life for a one-day treat to some of Western Australia’s best natural wonders.
Guilderton
After 1.5 hours from Perth, we stop to stretch our legs and take in the views from Guilderton Lookout, replacing the Lancelin stop due to its temporary closure. This stunning viewpoint offers panoramic views of the vast sand dunes, which are part of the largest network of sand dunes in Western Australia. The gigantic, snow-white dunes create a striking contrast against the glistening turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean in the distance. The lookout is accessed by 83 steps (15 more than Lancelin) and takes approximately 7 minutes to walk up. With toilets and a cafe available at the carpark, this stop will not affect the overall length of the tour, as the timing remains the same.

Casper was excellent in his knowledge of the stars and even though it was cloudy he was able to show us a number of constellations. It was a long day but Casper was very entertaining in his commentary and set out a delicious dinner. The pink and purple hues of the sunset were stunning.

On the whole it was very good. However, I don’t regard 40 participants, which there were, as a ‘small group’! The driver/guide was very good. The Pinnacles were fascinating and the picnic dinner was fine - just about what we expected. The stargazing was very good with a particularly dark sky that night. The guide pointing out the stars was useful. The telescope, however, was a waste of time. It only had a static mount (non-equitorial) which made following a particular star or planet for all 40 people to have a look at vurtually impossible.

A small group of 20+ was perfect to get around easily in a very comfortable mini bus. On time pick up. A great way to see the northern parts of Perth. Our guide Gasper was very knowledgeable and entertaining. His knowledge of the stars was exceptional. He was also a good driver.

Great trip. We were lucky enough to have great weather for the stargazing. Obviously the weather cannot be guaranteed but bad weather would really impact on this tour
