Pompeii
At arrival in Pompeii your Skip-the-Line tickets to the ancient site will be much appreciated as you breeze past the long lines and enter into this time capsule of the ancient Roman world. Here you will meet your local, expert, English speaking guide who knows all the hidden corners and interesting tales that are waiting to be discovered inside. Visit the marvelously preserved ancient villas, public baths, restaurants, theatres, and maybe even a brothel, of the ancient world as the past comes to life through the insights and stories of your enthusiastic guide.
Costiera Amalfitana
After some free time for a few last pictures of Pompeii and lunch (at own expense) the tour will continue further south along the picturesque seaside roads of the Amalfi Coast where the Dolce Vita was born. Here your breath will be taken away by the spectacular coastlines as the mountains cascade into the sea and romantic villages climb up the mountains like grapevines.

Rob was so knowledgeable and funny. It was so informative and I learned more than expected. It opened my mind up to so much I didn’t know I’d learn. It was fun, a good leg day workout, and my best friend and I couldn’t think of a better day trip.

Great ride. Valentina as a guide and Cesare as a driver were an excellent duo. Very good Enricco also as a guide in Pompeii. We had enough time to see Pompeii and tour Positano. Not so much for lunch, I think I would have saved myself the visit to the lemoncellos shop for more comfortable lunch. But it's just a detail. All the rest of the day was great. Thank you.

Valentina was an awesome tour guide and gave us lots of great info! She even told us where the best gelato was when we got back Rome. We had a great local tour guide in Pompeii and the weather in Positano was absolutely perfect. Our bus driver was Caesar and he did an expert job navigating the narrow and winding roads of the Amalfi coast. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Antonino was so passionate and inspiring. Even with the long drives he found the perfect times to share his insights. The tour itself was breathtaking, even in the rain.

This is a great way to visit Pompeii and Positano if you’re on a time crunch and want the experiences during your Rome trip. However, the whole thing felt very rushed and a little stressful. They push many reminders to get to the meeting point early, only to make you wait for the latest arrivals anyway and then rush you to the buses which are a few blocks away. The seats on the bus are tight - if you are tall or on the larger side they are not comfortable, your knees dig into the seat in front of you and there’s nowhere to rest your head since the seats are short. There is a short rest stop about an hour into the trip, but there are not a lot of food options there, which was tough for us since we needed to leave our hotel before breakfast started being served in order to get there 20 minutes ahead of start time (which was somewhat pointless). So we were very hungry during the Pompeii portion. Our guide in Pompeii was Willie who was lovely and funny, but the tour felt a bit rushed and we left feeling like we missed a lot of things we would have liked to explore. At the end, we had 20 minutes to swiftly devour a small pizza that served as the only meal we got the entire day (and paid for ourselves). Positano was pretty but disappointing as very little was open there during January. Another rush, we had about an hour to go down, down, down and needed to still go back up, up, up, so there was really no time for anything there. One more stop at that same rest stop, no good food options, and we ended up back at our hotel around 9, absolutely starving and exhausted. They should strive to provide a bottle of water and at least a small snack for everyone, considering the length of the trip and the price point. We felt uncomfortable, hungry and rushed the whole day. If you go, bring lots of food with you and don’t expect to be able to savor or soak in the experiences.
