What To Expect
Pompeii
At arrival in Pompeii your Skip-the-Line tickets to the ancient site will be much appreciated as you breeze past the long lines and enter into this time capsule of the ancient Roman world. Here you will meet your local, expert, English speaking guide who knows all the hidden corners and interesting tales that are waiting to be discovered inside. Visit the marvelously preserved ancient villas, public baths, restaurants, theatres, and maybe even a brothel, of the ancient world as the past comes to life through the insights and stories of your enthusiastic guide.
Costiera Amalfitana
After some free time for a few last pictures of Pompeii and lunch (at own expense) the tour will continue further south along the picturesque seaside roads of the Amalfi Coast where the Dolce Vita was born. Here your breath will be taken away by the spectacular coastlines as the mountains cascade into the sea and romantic villages climb up the mountains like grapevines.

Great tour but would recommend a summer visit to Positano

4.00Firstly, our tour guide, Rob A, you were fantastic! Such an energetic and positive dude with so much knowledge on not only Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast but also Italy in general. We got so much information and history on the bus tour from Rob! There was barely a moment where he didn’t have the microphone in his hand explaining some sort of history or monument that we drove past. Additionally, the guides of Pompeii were also incredible. The Pompeii guided tour was brilliant, the guides were fantastic and the tour is a great length to see everything, the guides allow amble time to get pictures and do own exploration for short period before continuing to other areas of the tour. Our guide, Enzo, was so incredibly funny and being born and raised in the city of Pompeii, had a wealth of knowledge to share with us. The downside, whilst this is no fault of the tour operator, we did not fully enjoy Positano. This is for a couple of reasons, our tour being in Winter (low season), meant that there was barely anything happening in the town. It was a ghost town, whilst this may seem great as you have heaps of space compared to 60k tourists in winter, no tourists = no business, therefore, basically none of the shops were open. There was 1 restaurant open and 2 souvenir shops, other than that, a lot of construction was ongoing. We wanted to at least get a nice Lemon Sorbet whilst there as this is what it’s known for. We did find one but it was in a plastic bag from a freezer, not authentic, still delicious however. If I had one piece of criticism for this tour, it would be to have a separate option for only Pompeii as we felt we lost a whole half a day going to Positano. It makes for a very long day (7:30am start, returned at 8pm). Other than this, the tour was great! As I said, Rob was absolutely fantastic and was lively and interactive the whole day despite being going for 12+ hours!

5.00Our tour guide Pari & bus driver directed the tour safely. Pari was well versed in her knowledge of the tour and the information she shared. It was such a wonderful way to see beautiful sights outside of Rome. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the tour 👏🏽👏🏽

5.00This was the best thing we did whilst staying in Rome. The day is jam packed and it was so fun and interesting. The whole day went smoothly and some of the sights were breathtaking. Heather, our City Wonders Guide, was amazing and she really went above and beyond of what is expected of a tour guide and she made the trip so special. From the North of England like us as well! Carlos, our Pompeii Tour Guide was very friendly and full of knowledge and I was surprised on how much I actually learnt about the archeological site. Positano is a must visit, such a beautiful place to see. The whole day was fantastic and if I could it again for the first time, I would! 10/10

5.00Excellent tour, well organized and our tour guide Rob was very helpful interesting and entertaining. His English was excellent and his Italian made the experience enjoyable and authentic. Our tour of pompeii with local guides was very interesting and because it was off season we were able to take our time and see everything. Highly recommend the tour, and if you can, request Rob as your guide.

Our Pompeii tour guides were fun and exciting, apparently they were born and raised in Pompeii which is really cool. Positano was a niche and cute town to visit

5.00Pompeii, and the Amalfi Coast in a day. This was a dream excursion. The tour was challenging to walk with the step stairs and uneven terrain in Pompeii. It was worth the challenge. If you have any difficulty walking under these conditions this unfortunately is not a good tour for you. Otherwise, book this excursion now before your date fills up. The scenery, the food, the culture and history are all perfect. I would book this tour again. I want to return to the region and spend an extended time there. The transportation was comfortable and timely. The tour director was friendly and knowledgeable. My only negative was the pizza we had the option to purchase for dinner prior to our return drive. It was not what I would expect or had other places in Italy. It was eatable. Honestly, bad as pizza in America. Please change up your offering for dinner on the ride home. Stop at an auto grill with the delicious, fresh selection for food. We stopped at these with Trafalgar and it was some of my favorite food.

5.00Natasha and Enrico were amazing! I learned so much about Naples & Postiano from Natasha. Enrico was so funny on our tour of Pompeii! It was about a 2.5 hour drive to Pompeii, we toured for about an hour to hour & a half. We then had margarita pizza. We drove for about 45 minutes in the bus & mini van to the Amalfi Coast. Everything is unfortunately closed til April. Nevertheless it’s a beautiful place.

5.00Seeing Pompeii was such a grounding experience. To see the village as it was preserved on the fateful day, plaster casts of some of those who perished, and a blown out Vesuvius was very humbling. The Amalfi Coast and Positano was jaw dropping beautiful. Amazing views around every corner. Our guide, Rob, did an amazing job as did our driver and the local guides at Pompeii. Highly recommend!

5.00We really enjoyed our tour. The guide on the bus and driver were great as was our guide in Pompeii was also good. We appreciated that we were split into smaller groups in Pompeii which made it more intimate.
