What To Expect

Pompeii

At arrival in Pompeii your Skip-the-Line tickets to the ancient site will be much appreciated as you breeze past the long lines and enter into this time capsule of the ancient Roman world. Here you will meet your local, expert, English speaking guide who knows all the hidden corners and interesting tales that are waiting to be discovered inside. Visit the marvelously preserved ancient villas, public baths, restaurants, theatres, and maybe even a brothel, of the ancient world as the past comes to life through the insights and stories of your enthusiastic guide.

Costiera Amalfitana

After some free time for a few last pictures of Pompeii and lunch (at own expense) the tour will continue further south along the picturesque seaside roads of the Amalfi Coast where the Dolce Vita was born. Here your breath will be taken away by the spectacular coastlines as the mountains cascade into the sea and romantic villages climb up the mountains like grapevines.

Beautiful day! Sonia was our guide and just amazing. Very informative, super sweet and knowledgeable, our driver Johnny super as well. They could have been more accommodating, and sweet! Would highly recommend this tag team. Thank you for A lovely experience.

In order to set expectations and provide a better travel experience, information about lunch should be published before the trip starts. The practice of announcing it on the tour bus and eating on the tour bus should be discouraged. It amounts to a pressure sale.

Pompei and lunch was great the rest not so much. We only had an hour in Postitano . Should skip the lemoncello speed stop. Once lunch was over your on a very time crunch, hurry up trip . I’d skip it.

You better get there exactly before the time they say, even if you’re stuck in traffic for over 40 minutes with ambulances holding up the road with a taxi ride that is supposed to be less than 10 minutes. We left our hotel way in advance and woke up super early so that we would be there on time. When I realized there was a chance we weren’t gonna make it right at 8:15am because the road was at a stand still, I called the company and told them if they could wait 5 minutes for us. They said they would let the travel van know, but they wouldn’t guarantee anything. We literally got there at the Piazza Del Popolo which is the meeting point right at 8:16am and they were long gone. No where to be found. They couldn’t even wait 1 darn minute. I called the company again and they said the van had departed and we couldn’t get our money back, which was $303 by the way. But we could rebook for another day, so there was relief, then they said it was only 99 euros PER PERSON which is a lot of US dollars ($220+) to rebook because of ridiculous reasons honestly. We got scammed. We tried and in theory should’ve been there before 7:55am, but you never know what traffic and ambulances/police are slowing traffic to the max. Everything would have been good if they let us rebook for another day, or refunded our money. But I feel shafted, majorly. If you do this, make sure you leave your hotel on the outskirts of Rome at 1am, cause you might lose all your money.

The bus ride, the views and seeing Pompeii and the Amalfi coast was absolutely beautiful. We had a great time. Ilaria was amazing providing us with information as we went along the tour. My only suggestion would be that they change the stop at Casino to a better location where it provides you with more of a variety of foods and it’s not so expensive (tourist trap). In addition, in Pompeii, getting the pizza and having to eat it on the bus was an inconvenience. You could have extended the trip a little longer in the day and allowed us to sit down and eat at a dining table. The tour is already 13+ hours long., another half hour, 45 minutes or even an hour would not have made a big difference. Overall, the experience was great.

This was a wonderful tour. Pari was our guide & Johnny was our bus driver. Once we got to Pompeii Claudia was the local guide. I wish we could have spent more time at both places because both were incredible. The history of Pompeii & the beauty of Positano made for the perfect day.

The trip was amazing! Rob, our tour guide, would get 6 out of 5 stars if I could give it. He took great care of us, making sure we knew when to take bathroom and food breaks, while giving interesting insights and local tips along the way. The tour is very packed with activities, so prepare for a lot of walking and bring a phone charger to take advantage of the bus outlets. Our guide through Pompeii (Carla) was also thorough and so interesting. We were lucky to have this particular team, and I’d recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience more outside of Rome!

It was a fantastic experience and really easy to join the tour. Angela our tour guide was great. Pompeii tour is good, albeit too short, but understandable considering the travel required. Positano was breathtaking!
