What To Expect
Pompeii
At arrival in Pompeii your Skip-the-Line tickets to the ancient site will be much appreciated as you breeze past the long lines and enter into this time capsule of the ancient Roman world. Here you will meet your local, expert, English speaking guide who knows all the hidden corners and interesting tales that are waiting to be discovered inside. Visit the marvelously preserved ancient villas, public baths, restaurants, theatres, and maybe even a brothel, of the ancient world as the past comes to life through the insights and stories of your enthusiastic guide.
Costiera Amalfitana
After some free time for a few last pictures of Pompeii and lunch (at own expense) the tour will continue further south along the picturesque seaside roads of the Amalfi Coast where the Dolce Vita was born. Here your breath will be taken away by the spectacular coastlines as the mountains cascade into the sea and romantic villages climb up the mountains like grapevines.

1.00Pompeii was amazing. The guide in Pompeii was great. The trip was ruined by the transportation. A 6 seat van with seats facing each other. Extremely cramped, no leg room and you are in it for 6 hours. Positano was essentially closed for the season. Not much open and no help from the driver. When we got back he stopped the car let us out and we had no idea where we were. Told us our hotel was “100 meters that way”.

5.00My family and I had a great experience. Flávio our tour guide was knowledgeable and provided us good information about Positano, and Adamalfi coast. Elena was our tour guide in Pompeii and also explain well many of the structures of the city. She also provided us with meanful information for the short time we were in Pompeii. We had a great driver and the tour felt pleasant.

5.00If you are only planning to stay at accommodations in Rome, this is a great way to get out and see Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. The Pompeii walking tour was a highlight of our entire trip to Italy. It was absolutely incredible and there was a lot to see. Positano was beautiful and November seemed to be a good time to go. It wasn’t too crowded and the weather was beautiful. Be prepared to have a long day on this tour, but it will be worth it.

1.00The guide in Pompeii was excellent. Wish we would have skipped Positano and spent longer touring. The van was so cramped for the five hour travel time. It made it very unpleasant. The driver was not very informative.

5.00We loved our experience and the tour and can’t recommend it enough. Flavio and our driver were great. The drive was smooth and Flavio provided such helpful information along the way. The tour at Pompeii was educational and the views on the amalfi coast were more beautiful in-person! Such a great tour and company. We’d definitely book with them again. If you’re thinking about booking, do it! I promise you won’t regret it.

5.00I travel with my Mother and one of her request on our trip is to go to Pompeii. Start from the beginning it was organized well, meeting place was easy to navigate, waiting time is reasonable, our bus was clean, driver Jovani was a great driver he drive smoothly and not rushing, our Guide Anastacia was great, guided as like her children in a classroom, cares every person in the group, gave us very informative feedback. The tour guide in Pompeii was great too very knowledgeable, and always gave us free time to explore some areas on our own. Going to Amalfi coast and Positano was another great to experience it was an amazing place, incredible it was a great experience and glad we took this tour with CityWonders..
