Archaeological Park of Pompeii

After departing Pompeii, continue south along one of the most spectacular coastal roads in the world. This is the heart of “La Dolce Vita” a stretch of coastline celebrated for its natural beauty, elegant charm, and timeless Mediterranean atmosphere.

4.00After booking this tour, I was led to believe that we would also be going to Amalfi. After doing the tour, I realize that would have been impossible. The tour in Pompeii was outstanding. Vincenzo shared so many interesting facts and tidbits. Positano was absolutely beautiful. The part that made no sense was stopping at the limoncello factory. It felt like a tourist trap. I would’ve much rather spent that time in Positano. Marisa was great and kept everything moving along.

5.00Great trip and great guides- Marisa and Enzo. Lovely surprise with Limoncello factory. I definetely recommend City Wonders! My only complain is regarding Vesuvio restaurant recomended after Pompei visit. Server was acting like we were charity not paying customers and pizza Margherita was cold and tasted like bread with tomato so failed to see why it was recommended. I will search for them also to write a personal review as the waitress was having a thunder face when serving me- I dont know about the rest of the customers.

5.00This was a great day trip led by Antonino. He made the journey very enjoyable with his deep knowledge of history and sense of humour. Both Pompeii and Positano are breathtaking and this tour is highly recommended!

3.00This tour was okay. The operators were great, but the time allotted for Positano (2 hours) was not honored. All communication from the tour clearly stated that is you missed meeting back up in Pompeii at the required time that you would be left behind. That was not the case as a tourist from the excursion was late. We waited on this individual and did not get the entire time in Positano. This was very disappointing to me as Positano was the main reason I booked the tour. Take my experience in to consideration when booking this trip.

5.00This was a magnificent day!! Jonathan was extraordinary!! We were warmly greeted and well organized. Every detail was thoughtful and well executed. Jonathan is a brilliant historian and storyteller, prepping us for our Pompeii tour. Once there, we connected with Therese, a lovely, knowledgeable guide. She shared many relevant stories making us wish we had more time with her. Jonathan arranged a pizza lunch for us- again well organized - and we were off to Positano. We stopped at a limoncello factory for a quick taste and tour, another thoughtful and surprising trip detail. Once we navigated the serpentine roads into Positano (kudos to our amazing drivers!!) and breathtaking views, we had free time to explore this quaint, beautiful city. Positano isn't an easy travel but Jonathan and our drivers made it seamless. Jonathan impressed us most on the ride home. He visited every person on the bus asking how he could help with their time in Rome. He shared advice about restaurants, Metro navigation/safety, museums, night life, shopping, art/Roman history, other worthwhile tours, taxis, things to avoid, etc... He gave time and thought to each of us. We were very grateful for the experience! While the sites were magnificent, John and his team created a magical day. Thank you!!

5.00This tour was absolutely fantastic combining visits to the breathtaking Amalfi coast (Positano) and awesome Pompeii in a single day. The tour guide Antonino was both entertaining and extremely knowledgeable. He really made the tour very memorable. The driver Paolo expertly and safely drove the bus throughout the tour. Overall I highly recommend this tour especially if Antonino is the guide and Paolo is the driver!
