This experience combines the two archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, famous for the eruption of Mount Vesuvius happened in 79 AD.
Join the guide at the entrance of Pompeii ruins called Porta Marina Inferiore, where the tour starts.
Discover the site and its best highlights with the assistance of an expert Archaeologist.
You will see the Forum – the main square – the most important houses and buildings and the famous plaster casts.
After the tour take a quick break, then reach the site of Herculaneum by the local metro line called Circumvesuviana at a few steps from Pompeii entrance.
End your tour with the site of Herculaneum, smaller than Pompeii but better preserved: visit the beach where more than 300 skeletons were found.

5.00Loved that you got to see two locations to compare and contrast. Guide was knowledgeable and added great context to what we were seeing. Lunch was at a shopping mall which only offered American type food but there was plenty of time and choices. Would do this tour again on a future trip as there was so much to see and observe.

5.00We did not realize how big Pompeii was, cobble stone streets challenging but not to bad. Our archeologist guide was fantastic, small group was perfect as it is very crowded and hard to stay together.

3.00It was an OK tour that hit the high spots. Advertised as a small group tour with an Archaeologist. There were 20 in our group which by observing the other tour group sizes, 20 people was a larger group. Visited the standard key spots with a nicely scripted narration… overall it was a look and keep walking type tour. My questions regarding items out of the narrative presentation could not be answered by the guide, so I do not believe our tour was led by an Archaeologist. Lunch stop location - restaurants had a captured tourist audience; food was mediocre at best and pricy. Would have liked to have had more time in the museum at Herculaneum after that tour. All that said, we enjoyed the experience of walking in and around and seeing these sites first-hand and learned a few things in the process.

5.00This was a great tour - so much to see and learn. We visited both Pompei and Herculaneum with an hours lunch break in between at a local shopping mall. I'd say we got approximately 2 hours at each site. I would have preferred the option of a packed lunch if it meant we could have had longer at Pompei but the site is huge so there's no chance we could have seen it all in just a few hours. The place is incredible. The guide was funny, informative and helpful as well as being considerate to my elderly mother who struggled a little with the uneven walking. I'd highly recommended this tour.

3.00prepare that traffic may make the day longer and guide was nice but didn't do enough to keep group together as some in the group were on their own tour and not keeping up with the group.
Herculaneum was fabulous,but Pompaii was a bit of a rush. Didn't get time to see as much as I would like. 2 quickly 😞

3.00Fabulous tour of both sites. Our guide Diego was a wealth of knowledge with a very friendly manner. Our transfer from Pompeii to Herculean was part of the package. This transfer was on public transport which I did not expect. The train was totally over crowded and we had a 20 min walk to the site entrance. This was so disappointing as I was expecting a bus transfer for the price I paid! This brought my star rating to 3!

5.00We toured pompeii and Herculaneum with our tour guide, Carmine. He was organized, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He did a great job of highlighting the most important points of both ancient ruins. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Carmine.
