This experience combines the two archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, famous for the eruption of Mount Vesuvius happened in 79 AD.
Join the guide at the entrance of Pompeii ruins called Porta Marina Inferiore, where the tour starts.
Discover the site and its best highlights with the assistance of an expert Archaeologist.
You will see the Forum – the main square – the most important houses and buildings and the famous plaster casts.
After the tour take a quick break, then reach the site of Herculaneum by the local metro line called Circumvesuviana at a few steps from Pompeii entrance.
End your tour with the site of Herculaneum, smaller than Pompeii but better preserved: visit the beach where more than 300 skeletons were found.

5.00Fantastic tour with Antonio. He is extremely knowledgeable about the sites and his enthusiasm and sense of humor made the trip so enjoyable and fun. He welcomed and was able to answer all questions. He brought the sites to life for us and I appreciated him greatly.

5.00I would give this tour five stars because of the amazing experience of visiting these sites and because Diego, our guide, was exceptionally knowledgeable. But after completing the tour of Pompeii, we waited about two hours to start the tour of Herculaneum. We had to wait for the train from Pompeii to Herculaneum, ride the train (3 or 4 stops), get off the train and walk about 6 or 8 blocks, wait about 20 minutes for the tour to start at Herculaneum. I insist, Diego was extremely knowledgeable and the experience truly amazing. But the waste of time of about 2+ hours, totally unjustifiable. Wouldn’t it be more practical and convenient (and perhaps cheaper for them) to bus visitors from Pompeii to Herculaneum? Had we known about this waste of time, we would have chosen another tours company. We read about the train option when booking this tour. We did not imagine we would waste so much time waiting. Above all, I strongly recommend this tour.

5.00The tour was exceptional. The archeologist had actually worked at Pompeii and gave great insights into the historical significance of both Pompeii and Herculaneum. Seeing both really helped to give an idea of what it would be like to live at the time and the achievements of engineers and city planners.

5.00Fantastic tour. Having wanted to visit both Pompeii and Herculaneum for 20+ years, I was anxious the experience would not live up to the idea I had built up in my mind. Definitely recommend. Michael is an archaeologist whose wealth of knowledge is obvious. He was only too happy to share this knowledge with us and guide us through what we can only describe as a maze of historical importance pointing out the minor details that we would have easily missed but add so much depth to understanding the lives of ancient Pompeiians. Guiseppe was a fantastic driver. Everything was smooth. The transport provided was modern, spacious and comfortable. Would have loved to have spent a bit more time in Pompeii at the Basilica but super happy with the tour regardless. We would 100% go back and book with Askos Tours again. Keep up the good work.

5.00This tour was truly amazing. Our tour guide was so informative and knowledgeable about all the sites. He included the perfect blend of information and humor to really captivate and engage our group. We started in Pompeii then made our way to this massive shopping center for lunch and finished off in Herculaneum. Both sites were so amazing to get to walk through and experience first hand.

5.00Very well organised. Easy to find the guide at the meeting point in Naples, and smooth transportation to Pompeii. Our guide Michael was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable. A nice size of group and easy to use headphones so we could hear properly. It’s a busy day, lots of walking and standing. Glad I went in November when it wasn’t hot and crowded. Both sites are big and would be difficult to navigate on your own. Having an expert guide made all the difference. I learned so much. I perhaps would like to go back and explore Pompeii for a full day next time as there were things we didn’t have time to stop and look at properly. But all in all a fantastic day.
