This experience combines the two archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, famous for the eruption of Mount Vesuvius happened in 79 AD.
Join the guide at the entrance of Pompeii ruins called Porta Marina Inferiore, where the tour starts.
Discover the site and its best highlights with the assistance of an expert Archaeologist.
You will see the Forum – the main square – the most important houses and buildings and the famous plaster casts.
After the tour take a quick break, then reach the site of Herculaneum by the local metro line called Circumvesuviana at a few steps from Pompeii entrance.
End your tour with the site of Herculaneum, smaller than Pompeii but better preserved: visit the beach where more than 300 skeletons were found.

5.00This was an excellent experience to learn all about the more recent excavations at both sites. Our guide Alfredo made sure to answers each and every question on a level of understanding that met the entire group. He had real life experience working at both sites, so it was neat to get that sort of insight into what was happening and how the process works. FYI - for those that get hangry, bring a snack or two because the lunch break doesn't happen until 13:00... at a quite impressive new shopping complex, just on the outskirts of Pompeii.

5.00I would highly recommend this tour if you are planning to visit Pompeii and/or Herculaneum. Our tour guide Alfredo seemingly knew everything there is to know about the locations and packed A LOT of information into the tours. I asked a lot of questions and he gave really thoughtful and informative answers. I definitely learned more from this tour than I could have via a guide book. If you love learning on vacation, ancient history, architecture, or fun facts, this tour will serve you well.

5.00We had a tour of Pompeii and Herculanum with Alfredo as our guide. Alfredo was amazing, extremely knowledgeable, and had put together a great plan for the day. The tour itself was a full day, but honestly I would need another day just for Pompeii. There is so much amazing information and details that you need time to digest. Highly recommended.
