This experience combines the two archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, famous for the eruption of Mount Vesuvius happened in 79 AD.
Join the guide at the entrance of Pompeii ruins called Porta Marina Inferiore, where the tour starts.
Discover the site and its best highlights with the assistance of an expert Archaeologist.
You will see the Forum – the main square – the most important houses and buildings and the famous plaster casts.
After the tour take a quick break, then reach the site of Herculaneum by the local metro line called Circumvesuviana at a few steps from Pompeii entrance.
End your tour with the site of Herculaneum, smaller than Pompeii but better preserved: visit the beach where more than 300 skeletons were found.

5.00We had a wonderful day trip to Pompei and Herculaneum from Naples. The day before, I had a question for Askos Tours and they promptly answered my email. The tour itself was great. Michele Maria Lamberti, our tour guide is a trained archeologist and it was evident in his explanations. We had an enriching tour of both Pompei and Herculaneum through the day. The bus driver Vincenze was also very good. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who is interested in learning about this ancient and fascinating site

5.00Would highly suggest this tour to learn about Pompeii and Herculaneum. Our guide (Diego) was wonderful with both knowledge and answering questions throughout the tour. We wouldn’t have appreciated the area and history nearly as much without his guidance!

5.00Probably my favourite tour to date. I’m very happy we got to see both Pompeii and Herculaneum because the sites, though impacted by the same event, are very different. Our archaeologist was great and I got more out of it than going without a tour. Lunch at the mall was a great break and an appropriate duration. Time spent on both sites was the right amount. Loved this tour!

1.00Tour started 25 minutes late then we only had 1:45 in Pompeii and another 1:45 in Herculaneum. It was so rushed that one couple gave up at half way. Then when we finished in Herculaneum we were told to walk up and get a train back to Pompeii, but no trains. We were abandoned and had to spend €60 on an Uber. Guide was nice and knowledgeable but anyone who stopped for a bathroom break was left behind

5.00This is a full day trip to Pompeii and Herculaneum - be prepared for a lot of walking! Our guide, Gennaro, was great - very knowledgeable and full of amusing anecdotes. He was also very stoical when it started hailing, carrying on regardless! The bus transfers were efficient and we had lunch at a food court in a mall to avoid the rip off restaurants around the Pompeii ruins. Highly recommended
