As arrive at Vesuvius entrance first 30 minutes up to the crater there's a steep walking to reach the top.

What an amazing tour of Pompeii! We booked the combined tour, but because of winds, we could only do Pompeii. Honestly, it worked better that way! We had a 2 hour tour and then had the rest of the day to explore. 2 hours wouldn’t have been enough. Our guide was excellent!

Well worth it. Takes most of the day. Started with a shortish uphill hike after a 30 minute drive from Pompeii up Vesuvius Our Guide Mario gave us a thorough description of the area, including distant and recent history. We met an scientist at the top who told us about how the volcano erupted as well as other volcanic activity. After driving back, Yvonne gave us a great tour of the Pompeii ruins, complete with detailed history. After the two hour tour, you have the option to continue to explore Pompeii.
