First off below average experience with Viator. The tour company was extremely unorganized and not punctual at all. Several people told us different times, lines, and groups. The Pompeii tour was worth doing but the headsets did not work and the guide did not hit the points listed in the tour description. A tour of Pompeii is definitely needed just not sure this is it. As far as Vesuvius that is why my review is this high. The guide Mario was great especially when it came to breaks and not rushing. He was patient and informative. Bus was not air conditioned but it wasn’t needed for this time of year. Having a guide at the top of Vesuvius was a great additional bonus. Overall long day recovered by Mario and the climb of Vesuvius.

The tour of Pompeii was absolutely amazing. Our guide Daniela provided us with a great tour, so much information — she was just wonderful. The details she pointed out along the way were interesting and she really captivated everyone’s attention. The afternoon tour of Mt. Vesuvius with our guide Mario and driver Francesco was equally as great. Despite the rain and poor weather, we were able to learn a lot and hike up to the crater to see the amazing views. It was a wonderful day, with great tour guides, I highly recommend the tour.

What a nice visit. The guide explained the different sites to visit. Then the visit to Mount Vesuvius is spectacular. Our guide was very attentive to our group. The 1 km climb is difficult. Be careful.

What an amazing tour of Pompeii! We booked the combined tour, but because of winds, we could only do Pompeii. Honestly, it worked better that way! We had a 2 hour tour and then had the rest of the day to explore. 2 hours wouldn’t have been enough. Our guide was excellent!
