A great full day excursion of the ancient archaeological site of Pompeii and suggestive Naples, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. travel aboard a comfortable air-conditioned minivan with a maximum of 6/7 people and an assistant for the entire trip. Before arriving in Pompeii, one break along the freeway for a mid-morning breakfast or snack.
First stop will be at the Pompeii archeological site where your professional guide it will show the highlights of this intact ancient Roman city. You will visit the main areas of Pompeii, like the Macellum (food market), the Thermal Baths, the areas where the Romans would gather to have dinner and wine as well as the homes of wealthy citizens, where you will learn about their customs and traditions.
Lunch in a typical Neapolitan pizza restaurant and then visit of the wonderful Bay of Naples, where you can admire the beautiful gulf, backdrop to one of the most beautiful images to be seen. Taste a good typical Neapolitan coffee and then back to Rome.

5.00Theresa and Luigi picked us up from our accommodations on time. Theresa gave us great information as we drove from Rome to Pompeii where we met Hector to guide us through Pompeii. It was fascinating and he was wonderful! After Pompeii, we went to a Resturant with delicious Pizza! Theresa toured us through Naples. She is very knowledgeable and accommodating. We had an amazing time!!

5.00We had an amazing day tour to Pompeii and Naples — it was truly much better than we expected. The tour was very well organized and the experience exceeded our expectations. Elisabetta and Paulo, our guides in Napoles and Pompeii, were absolutely spectacular. They were kind, friendly and very welcoming, and they made us feel comfortable the whole time. You can really tell they love what they do, and they were great hosts. About the places we visited: Naples is a beautiful port city, full of life, with great views and a very unique atmosphere. And Pompeii was simply breathtaking — seeing it with modern eyes is shocking in the best way. It’s incredible how much is still there, and how beautiful and impressive it is. Finally, lunch at the vineyard with a view of Mount Vesuvius was another big highlight and a perfect extra touch. Highly recommended!

5.00Incredible tour that combines different experiences in a single day - our Pompei guide Elena was amazing and replied to our several questions. The wine/lunch was fun and delicious. We made a quick visit to explore Naples and try coffee and ice cream (city was very different from the Rome vibe so a plus on the Italian culture overview) It’s a long day, but very comfortable van.

5.00It was an extremely worthwhile trip, and we felt well taken care of from start to finish. Mr. Guiseppe – our guide – and the driver arrived on time, with a very comfortable vehicle. The driver was very polite, and our guide was attentive, kind, and truly excellent. During our visit to Pompeii, we were accompanied by a local guide who knew the site incredibly well. We learned so many fascinating details that you simply cannot get from reading on your own. For lunch, we visited a beautiful vineyard and enjoyed an exclusive look at their winemaking process. The full-course meal and the wines served were all delicious. At the end of the trip, we visited Naples, and our guide shared the city’s history in great detail, as he is a native of Naples himself. Overall, it was a wonderful trip with flawless service. It’s rare to be impressed enough to feel compelled to write a review like this.

5.00We had the best experience ever! Luigi was the perfect driver — he knew the roads like the back of his hand, always careful but never slow, and made the entire ride smooth and enjoyable. Giuseppe was an amazing guide and such a wonderful storyteller. He brought every stop to life and kept us engaged the whole time. They even played “Happy Birthday” in the car, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch! The vehicle itself was in excellent condition and extremely comfortable — we felt completely relaxed the entire day. I’m so happy we booked this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone. Truly an unforgettable experience!

5.00The Viator employees and tour guides are very nice and friendly. We had Teresa and she was very kind and a joy to be around during the whole trip. Make sure you have a battery charger for your phone because, it’s a long day and you will take a lot of videos and pictures and you may not have enough battery life left after a few hours.

5.00Joseph and Alessandro were amazing. Loved the winery meal and wine tasting. Appreciated the history provided by Joseph as a resident in Napoli. Would have liked more time in pompeii for the museum though but overall great day trip!
