The tour guide (Kiara) was knowledgeable .....and this was my second visit! I learned just from her talking. Pizza was 👍, tasting was real good, and the driver most of all. It rained, it stopped, people drove crazy, and he handled the mountain roads like a champ. Oh, and it was a good group of people!

We had a wonderful time during this trip, despite the weather doing its best to spoil it! All the meeting details were provided in advance and were very clear. We chose the option that included a hike to the top of Mount Vesuvius. Viviana was our guide, and we were very pleased with how she handled the tour and the insightful information she shared along the way. Our first main stop was the archaeological site of Pompeii. Here, we were divided into smaller groups and handed over to professional tour guides who took us around the site for approximately two hours. It was an incredible experience to see the city as it stood 2,000 years ago, with many of its buildings—at least at ground level—still intact. Our guide, Francesco, was excellent, sharing fascinating details about the buildings we were seeing and the lives of the people who once lived there. The murals are remarkably well preserved and offer a glimpse into how vibrant and colourful a Roman city would have been. The main forum was a highlight, where we were given around 15 minutes of free time to take photos or explore further. The site itself is vast, so the guided portion only gives a brief overview. Nevertheless, we found it to be a truly unforgettable experience, and we definitely plan to return in the future to explore it in more depth. Our next stop was a restaurant for lunch, which had a wonderful view over the Bay of Naples. The meal was good and filling—Neapolitan-style Margherita pizza followed by a sweet treat. After lunch, we continued to the hike up Mount Vesuvius. Unfortunately, it was very foggy during our visit, so we weren’t able to see the crater or enjoy the views of the Bay of Naples from the summit. Nevertheless, hiking on an active volcano was still an amazing experience, and we made the most of it. The hike itself isn’t too difficult, but it does require a reasonable level of fitness. It is recommended that you wear appropriate shoes- as the ground is uneven and may be even muddy. On the way back, we stopped at a small shop for some limoncello and sweet samples. The prices were much more reasonable than in Rome, so we ended up making a few purchases. Overall, we were very happy with the trip and would definitely recommend it.

It was a full, tiring 12 hour day but completely worth it to see the Pompeii sights and views of the coastline. The bus was very comfortable for naps along the way. The pizza lunch was excellent. Bring solid shoes and a coat for the Vesuvius hike. The best part was our kind, patient, informative guide “Pari” and our skilled driver “Theo”.

Our tour to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius was absolutely unforgettable. We explored the beautiful ruins of Pompeii with a knowledgeable guide, enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch, and were lucky enough to hike up the volcano itself. The views from the summit were incredible—my only wish is that we could have had a bit more time to soak it all in. Overall, an amazing experience that I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

An excellent day. One for the books. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Especially the lemoncello guy 😆. Was truly exhausted but happy from such a full day. The pizza was excellent on our way to Mt. Visuvius.

Anna, our guide was wonderful. Knowlegeable and with a sense of humor. The busdriver great and we felt quite safe him driving the huge bus through the small streets. Unfortunately it rained quite a bit and Pompaij must be much more enjoyable with sunshine. We were not able to go up Mount Vesuvio due to inclement weather. 😞 Our guide tried to compensate and brought us to Sorento, a pretty town, where we had about an hour to walk around. I think a better choice would have been a short drive down the Amalfi Coast. However, under.the circumstances it was an overall nice experience.
