The hike up to the crater of Vesuvius requires a good level of general fitness. The walk is uphill at a 14 degree angle and takes roughly 20 minutes.

5.00This is a great trip. Nice bus and very good driver. Our tour leader took very good care of us. Pompeii was very interesting. The planning was veray good with breaks and a great pizza meal. I didn't hike to the top of vesuvius but the scenery was very good arount the mountain.

5.00This was an amazing experience. Ion made everything run perfectly and gave us relevant information and history. He even had a special stop for us that was not part of the tour itself (it included the best Limoncello EVER). It was a long day, but it was so very worth it. Our secondary tour guide at Pompeii was amazing as well.

5.00This is a wonderful experience to see the ancient ruins and an active volcano. Paula our tour guide did an excellent job of describing what were were going to see and everything you needed to know to keep you safe and on track. The guide in Pompeii did a very nice job of explaining everything we saw. She kept a pace that everyone was able to maintain. While it is a long day it is surely worth your time. This is not to be missed. Rhanks again to Paula and Giovanni our driver, for making this a memorable day.

5.00We had an amazing experience on our visit to Mt Vesuvius and Pompeii. Made it to the top of Mt Vesuvius. Lunch was nice and the group we were with were great. Pompeii was amazing although we could have spent much more time as there was so much to see. Our guide Lorenzo was very knowledgeable and interesting. A wealth of information as well as being a really inclusive and friendly. Highly recommend this trip.

5.00Lorenzo was a wonderful guide, kept a nice pace to accommodate the elderly as well as young adults. The bus was very clean and stops were timed perfect the bathroom and lunch. There was enough time to make the complete climb up Mt. Vesuvius. The archeological tour was well planned and informative. The Lemoncello tasting was great with an interesting family story, the lunch was excellent, especially the Crocchè. I would recommend this tour for anyone looking for a day trip to Pompeii & Mt Vesuvius from Rome.

5.00This excursion was incredible. The restaurant, the food, the service, the volcano the limoncello tasting, it was all top notch service. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The views are breathtaking and Viviana made sure everyone was accomodated. We travelled with two kids 10 and 8, and they enjoyed every bit of the trip. From food to hiking up the volcano. I highly recommend this trip and if you’re lucky you get our tour guide Viviana

5.00Excellent guides, good at explaining and Q/As. Viviana is pleasant, organized. Ira is a good storyteller. Pizza lunch was very good, 3 course meal. Not well adapted for physically challenged. Some hills. One elderly partcipant fell in steps due to irregular steps and absence of side-ramp.

4.00Overall this was a really great trip. Paula was an attentive and informative host making sure we got where we needed to be on time. She kept the travel fun and shared bits of history while being sensitive to the fact we were all tired. I only wish we could've spent more time in Pompeii. It was definitely a very high level, fast and furious tour. It was hard to appreciate the magnificence of the place as much as I has hoped. That being said, I know it was probably all we had time for, but I could've done with a shorter lunch and more time to sight-see. The trek up to the crater was totally worth it. It was a challenge to get up and down (just take your time), but it was incredible to see the active vents and the magnitude of this volcano. Definitely the highlight!
