The hike up to the crater of Vesuvius requires a good level of general fitness. The walk is uphill at a 14 degree angle and takes roughly 20 minutes.

5.00We had a great day with Klaire guide and Max driver (I think!). The day was very organized and everyone was so friendly. The bus was very comfortable for the long rides with stops for bathroom/snacks. Would highly recommend!

3.00The place itself is stunning and full of so much incredible history, but the tour was a little disappointing. While we knew we would have 2 hours with the tour guide when we booked, we didn’t realise how rushed it would feel. The guide Lilly was nice but she would point out a highlight and then walk away very quickly so it was difficult to see what she was talking about and take pictures. Also we informed the guide that she would break up and lose signal when she walked away too quickly for the whole group to follow and she said this shouldn’t happen, but it continued to happen. Overall was a good experience but that was due more to Pompeii itself rather than the tour guide.

5.00We had an excellent experience both our guide Michael and driver Antonio were fantastic show care, consideration, humour and knowledge and really made the day fantastic, although a long day they somehow made is seem not so long and probably the best we have ever had, I couldn’t do the whole of the Volcano due to health (before our visit now during or after) but Pompeii was amazing and the guide there was also very good and funny would highly recomend

5.00This tour was nice. I ended up going by myself and had no trouble staying with or keeping up with the group. I do wish we got longer at the site, as you can’t see much in an hour and a half, but that would be hard to do coming from Rome since it already takes the whole day with travel. Overall, I enjoy it and would reommend

5.00Pompeii was wonderful and wish we had a little more time there. Our guide from Pompeii was very good and knowledgeable. She was able to engage our younger teenagers as well. This tour was my kids and our family‘s favorite part of our trip to Italy. Lunch was great and had large portions. We also had a comfort stop on way down to Pompeii and back which also had food and drinks for purchase. The climb up Vesuvius was a little difficult, but we made it. And we had breathtaking views of Naples from the top.
