Probably not worth a private tour unless you have something specific you want to see/know

3.00We booked the private tour, but on reflection, I don't think it was worth the money we paid. This is because we had no specific things we wanted to see, so we would have gotten the information from a group tour. The guide was lovely, friendly and highly knowledgeable; however, Italian accent was very strong

5.00What can I say? Tony is a top tier tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable, knows Pompeii like the back of his hand. He is entertaining, funny and does the tour at a fast pace (if you want it that way). Knows all the shortcuts (Pompeii is a very active archaeological site). You will not waste any time or regret your decision of hiring Tony. We may even stay at his villa next year.
