Rome
The itinerary varies depending on the travel date, so please verify the correct version when booking. Until 31 October Depart from Rome and journey through the Italian countryside towards southern Italy. Enjoy a scenic drive showcasing stunning coastal views before reaching Sorrento, a charming seaside town. From 2 November Start your day heading directly from Rome to Pompeii, optimizing your time for a more in-depth historical experience.
Sorrento
Until October 31, spend free time wandering its streets, visiting artisan boutiques, and taking in panoramic vistas. A stop at a local producer introduces you to the region with a limoncello tasting. This stop won't be included for travel dates starting from November 2, 2026. You will go straight to Pompeii from Rome.

5.00We were picked up promptly at 7:30 and left for Sorrento. The drive was smooth and accompanied by fun facts about surrounding areas of Italy that we are passing by. Our tour guide in Sorrento and Pompeii was local to the area and clearly passionate about everything he was showing us. The ride from Rome and tour of Pompeii was all included in the price. We got back to Rome around 8:30pm so it was a great day trip to do with your significant other or a friend! Crowds weren’t too bad at this point of the tourist season (First week of June). Would say best for couples looking to get out of Rome for a day.

4.00We decided to do this activity as it was something we wanted to see and Pompeii was great with very informative tour guide. Our driver and tour host was great. The experience itself was great the only thing I would change is we stopped at a place next to Pompeii that carves sea shelves, however we were only giving 15mins to go to the toilet and purchase anything we wanted and the prices they were asking. I believe need to allow someone time to think about it, not a split second decision. It was great that we where picked up from our hotel however as I am writing this on our way back from the tour we are unsure whether or not we are going to get dropped back. But it looks like we aren't and that is a big issue which should be changed if so as it is a big day and we are probably going to be back into Rome about 7:30. The last thing I wish to do is travel back to my hotel under my own power

4.00Excellent visit to pompey. Lived up to expectations. Driver Vincezo was great at negotiating the narrow roads. Guolemaro the guide was very knowledgeable. The only thing that let the tour down was the amount of time we had in Sorrento. By the time we had eaten, at a place recommended for quick service. ( only ordered a pasta dish to be quick). There was no time to see Sorrento. Which meant don't eat and see the town or eat and miss it. We were informed there was limited choice in the town and nothing at pompei. I would suggest telling people to take a packed lunch. Ideally An additional 30 mins at Sorrento would have made a big difference. Although it is a long way and appreciate time is limited.

4.00Advertised as Pompei with a stop in sorrento. No details on the actual itinerary on any of the booking, I.e timings etc so was very difficult to determine how much time we’d get in Pompei which was the main reason for the trip. On the coach told would be in Sorrento for 1.5 hours. We only got an hour which was just enough time for lunch. Then straight back on the coach. We then sat on the coach for 40 minutes waiting for other guests who suddenly joined us from sorrento which we didn’t know about who were actually late. Informed then we’d only have 1.5hrs guided tour in Pompei. The tour itself was great, but was just a tiny bit of what we could have seen had the stop in sorrento not been in the itinerary. It was essentially a 9 hour coach ride with 1.5hrs in Pompei. Recommend booking your own travel if leaving from Rome.
