If your time is limited, this is an ideal tour to get a quick taste of the coast and its treasures. If you have a great guide as our Maria, it makes it so much more entertaining

What a spectacular excursion. Have never had a bad excursion with this company (ViaTor/World tours) and this one will not disappoint whatsoever (unless the weather lets you down!). Starting at the meeting point (which was where a lot of trips were being collected from), our guide Maria was very prepared having all our names on a clipboard - shook hands with every one of us which I thought was a nice professional touch. Our driver Antonio was exceptional and got us to all the locations safely and (most importantly) comfortably. He even had to re navigate our journey to the Mount Vesuvius due to a traffic jam! We were on the Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius trip starting with Pompeii in the morning. Our profession archaeologist Ines was knowledgable and took us around in couple hours to see the most wondrous of sights. Was a good thing we did this in the morning so wasn’t as busy or HOT!! Such a place full of history. Lunch was lovely and a nice touch to the afternoon after walking for a few hours in the sun and recharging before the hike to follow!! Nice fresh Salad, pasta followed by a light sponge cream cake. The volcano though was the highlight of the trip for us. Views spectacular although would recommend packing trainers you don’t mind getting dirty due to the dust!! A guide wasn’t included on this part however my wife and I walked up and down in plenty of time for the 2hours we were there (again - this was plenty of time too), stopping for some Prosecco and wine at the crater. 5 stars without a doubt - grazie again Maria, Antonio and Ines. Enjoy

We had a wonderful day with Nina and Biagio today at Pompeii and Vesuvius. It's hard to pick a highlight as there were so many, the service was personalised and upbeat and everyone on the tour was well attended to. Would happily recommend this tour!

What a wonderful day out. Antonella was our tour facilitator and Giovani was our driver. Pompeii was amazing and such a large area. Andrei was the very knowledgable Pompeii guide and helped to explain how the city worked before the eruption. A nice lunch was included and provided an opportunity to try some local dishes. Vesuvius was pretty much an unguided walk from the drop off point to the edge of the corona. However, the views were spectacular both in and out from the mountain.

We encountered a difficulty before starting, as we had to wait forty-five minutes for the minibus. The visit to Pompeii met expectations, and the guide was very professional. The lunch was quite ordinary, but that is to be expected on these day excursions. The visit to the crater could be done with a guide if requested within the area, but due to uncertainty about the time involved, we made the tour on our own. The crater is impressive. Luca, the guide who accompanied us, was friendly.

We were collected promptly from the meeting point and transported to Pompeii in a comfortable minibus. The tour was well organised, and after a short comfort break we began the visit at approximately 9:15am. Pompeii itself was extremely interesting to visit; however, the overall experience was somewhat mixed. The listening devices provided were uncomfortable to wear and frequently moved around, which made it difficult at times to hear the guide clearly. In addition, the guide’s microphone was often held too far from his mouth, resulting in parts of the commentary being unclear or missed altogether. Although opportunities were given to ask questions, it was challenging to do so without having heard all of the explanations properly. The guide was knowledgeable, but the pacing of the tour felt uneven. Certain sections were covered in considerable detail, while others seemed to be rushed through more quickly. After almost two hours walking around the ruins, the tour felt somewhat prolonged. In contrast, the visit to Mount Vesuvius was excellent and undoubtedly the highlight of the excursion. The climb is steep and suitable footwear is essential, but the views from the summit are breathtaking and well worth the effort. Overall, I would recommend the experience, particularly for the opportunity to visit Mount Vesuvius.
