Tour was well planned and the right time of day by Titti. Pompeii expert Alessandro provided right amount information and some of best sites of the ruins! 😉 Mt Vesuvius the climb was the challenge as part of your daily workout. Well worth with the views from the top! Just take your time going up.

Salvatore and Marco took care of us incredibly well the entire day. Salvatore was humorous, kind and very attentive to everyone. He would constantly check in on every individual and ensure that everyone was enjoying themselves. Marco had amazing driving skills, navigating through crazy traffic and up Vesuvius extremely smoothly and safely. I am usually carsick on drives up winding roads but I didn’t feel it at all the entire way. We were extremely lucky to get the both of them as our guides and would definitely recommend.

Well organised trip and good timings and pick ups. Group was part English and part Portuguese but we did separate tours at Pompeii. Great info from Salvatore and good driving by Marco. Pompeii tour was with another guide. Very chaotic there and was much better when we managed to get away from the crowds. Still feel like we could go back and spend more time there to do it justice. Lunch was really excellent and all veggie if you wanted 😄. Really enjoyed the hike to crater. Approx 1 mile uphill no shade but wide paths. Drinks at the top overlooking the Bay of Naples. Good value.

Lack of air conditioning on the bus ruined the overall experience. If going over the summer, be prepared to sit in a cramped bus with 30 other people for hours, in unbearable heat. Guide was unsympathetic and joked that the humidity was good for “opening up pores” The archeologist for Pompeii was good, no guide for Vesuvius - you’re dropped off at the beginning of the hike and make your way up yourselves. Honestly, even taking the public bus from Pompeii to Vesuvius would have been better - drops off at the same location and it was a modern bus with AC.

I think the trip was well worth it. Marco, the driver, got us from A to B in no time and Giovanni kept us up-to- date in multiple language during the day. Complimentary water was provided on a couple of occasions, whilst the lunch was nice three course meal. Pompei and Mount Vesuvius need no introduction, so all in all I’d gladly do the trip again.

This tour visits Pompeii in the morning, breaks for lunch, and then has a hike up mt Vesuvius. Coming off the boat, the area outside the port is quite chaotic, with many tour guides and buses everywhere, but our guide Rosy had a sign with our names on it and it only took a short minute to track her down. After everyone was gathered we headed to Pompeii, where there were about a million more tourists. We got in shortly after it opened, and I was glad we were not on one of the large cruise excursions, as they were all much larger groups that were moving much more slowly. Our tour guide through Pompeii was Maria, who did a fantastic job explaining what we were seeing and guiding us to the most important things in the city ruins. Pompeii is spectacular, it is just so large; definitely worth seeing! Because of its size, I would recommend a guided tour, as there is a lot you would miss if you went on your own. After that we broke for lunch, I wrote a separate review about it but let’s just say it was lousy. Finally we headed to Mt Vesuvius, and did the hike up the mountain! The hike is steep but everyone made it, and I saw even elderly people that had made it up; just go at your own pace and you’ll be fine. The view from the top is worth it, the crater is pretty awesome and the view of Naples and the ocean is spectacular. Finally we headed back to our ship with plenty of time to spare. Rosy did a nice job keeping us organized and staying on schedule. Overall despite lunch, the main events were both great.

Highly recommend. The tour started right on time. We were picked up by an air-conditioned van and taken to Pompeii and later to Vesuvius. Both sites were fascinating in their own way: Pompeii for its rich history and Vesuvius for the spectacular views. Nina and Luca were wonderful hosts.

Titi, Leno, and Tom were excellent!! Titi had a vibe we instantly loved and made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. She is the perfect guide for this trip, knowledgeable, funny, attentive, all the things you want. Tom, our archeological guide, was hands down one of my favorite guides for my entire vacation. His tour of Pompeii was efficient, well paced, engaging, and memorable. Leno, our driver, got us there safely and on time! Overall, an amazing experience well worth your time.
