Definitely worth seeing. The sights we saw on the way were also good. Port Arthur is an interesting place to visit. Our guide Mark was knowledgeable and nice!

A very packed day with a wonderfully knowledgable driver and guide. A huge thank you to Phil the driver (not Nigel !) for a great experience. And an added bonus were the extra little stops along the way, not advertised in the schedule, and perhaps only possible because all of us customers were friendly and timely in returning to the bus within a minute of appointed times.

This is a whole day tour that starts in Hobart and proceeds to Port Arthur and a couple more places. The ride to Port Arthur is long and could be quite dull… In Port Arthur you will be left on your own to visit the Penitentiary and botanical garden. I wish there was a live guide to make this visit more exciting. If purchased a ticket, you will be on a beautiful ferry ride in the harbor, to view the Island of the Dead. Visit of the island was not included in my tour and it was regrettable. After Port Arthur you will go to the cove site, amazing but with no time to get to the coves, another regrettable issue… Then you will be shown an a believable Tasmanian Arch, but also only for a brief rushed time… Considering time you spend on the bus with the views of dried out land, I think that the whole day could have been spent better in Hobart and its surroundings with less restricted schedule.

We had a fabulous day. Our driver Colin was very informative. Loved his stories, and the “ Dad jokes”. Learned a lot about the history of Port Arthur. Amazing place.

Wonderful tour of Port Arthur history and site. Paced very well and had plenty of time to experience it all. Long bus ride to get there and the boat tour around the island was about 30 minutes, well worth it.
