We enjoyed seeing the site in person rather than in pictures as previously. The tour guide on the bus and those at each of the buildings were well spoken and gave an informative and interesting blurb. The weather was beautiful and I enjoyed the day immensely. I have waited a long time to see Pt Arthur and now I can tick it off my list!

This tour was a fabulous full day of exploring and marveling at some magical Tassie scenery. Highlight was Port Arthur and its rich history as a penal colony. Vic, our driver was incredibly knowledgeable and a fun guide-learnt many things I didn't know about not only Port Arthur but many sights and sites along the way...highly recommended.

First the good. Port Arthur was fascinating. Great history. The other stops along the way were nice. The extra stop at the arch was nice. The scallop pies we ordered were delicious. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, informative and friendly. The bad, group was way larger than I prefer which made things a little difficult. The seats on the large bus were as tiny as the worst airplane seat (and you are on the bus a lot), no power port at seat. The ferry ride at Port Arthur was a waste of time. We did have a good day.

It was a wonderful day and I really appreciated the driver’s kindness. He did a great commentary and was very clear with instructions. I was only on the tour to see Port Arthur so I really enjoyed the drive along the coast, the oyster beds, the Tasman arch, the chocolate factory and Richmond. I still had plenty of time at Port Arthur.

Excellent tour for whole day, never a dull moment with guide plus bus driver Phil, a knowledgeable guide with so much information and very pleasant to hear his commentary with hints of humour every now and then. He gave ample time for us to enjoy sights in ease. Port Arthur is worth a visit, so beautiful, so much history, dont miss this tour if you are visiting Hobart. We were picked up in time near our hotel which was very convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip.
