This full day tour from Hobart has been designed to allow as much time as possible to explore Port Arthur. Formerly a convict site, Port Arthur is bursting with history and today boasts a landscape of natural beauty, scenic ruins and restored buildings. Make the most out of your day and join one of the complimentary site talks throughout the day. Gain a deep connection to the history of the convicts as you cruise around the Isle of the Dead on Carnarvon Bay. Enjoy personalised touring with live commentary from our local, experienced driver guides who are on-hand throughout the day. Lunch and refreshments can be purchased on site, or you are welcome to bring your own. Join the optional free Remarkable Caves tour and enjoy a visit to the Chocolate Factory on our return to Hobart. With all the inclusions plus maximum time at the site, this tour provides fantastic value and guarantees a most memorable day.

We booked this journey during winter. Our driver (Shaun) is a pretty friendly guy. Having a good safety concern about driving as well as helping everyone during the whole trip. Not only sharing us the historical background but also willing to answer our questions. Port Arthur is a beautiful historical attraction. Good spot for learning about history and walking around for relaxing.

Our Guide/Driver Alan was very knowledgeable and gave us an informative narrative of the history of the places we were visiting with a good sense of humour also. He was also very caring and patient with all the guests and gave us a seamless tour experience. 10/10 for him.

It was an absolutely fabulous tour and if there’s only one day tour you can do whilst in Hobart, I highly recommend this. Was a great combination of the historic charm of Richmond, followed by Port Arthur and then catching some wonderful natural wonders along the way. Colin was very informative and highly entertaining tour guide. With his steady flow of trivia, historic facts and dad jokes (yes there were a few :)), he kept everyone engaged and entertained. A+ overall.

Our tour guide and bus driver, Shaun, was professional, highly knowledgeable, punctual and very professional. The tour itself was excellent and included a great range of activities. It was a lot of walking and being outdoors which I liked and many opportunities to go to the bathroom and to purchase food. Loved the day and would highly recommend!
