Michele and I booked the, " Count All The Koalas you can see tour," also known as the "Mikkira Station Koala Tour, Port Lincoln" with the intrepid tour guide, Ben. His eagle eyes helped us spot 38 koalas with the occasional emu and kangaroo. Not quite the record of 50 koalas, but we felt that we were on the podium. Many were resting on low branches allowing for a selfie or two, but done without disturbing them. This tour gives an excellent experience of Australiarna. Thank you Ben. The trip was an absolute highlight, we saw many koalas, kangaroos as well as many different birds and impressive landscapes as well as trees. Our guide Ben knew well, had many anecdotes to tell and was super nice and extraordinarily competent. If it somehow goes, always try to get Ben as a guide! An absolutely recommended and informative excursion. Ben sends the perfect photos taken together as a service in the evening via drop box at the end of the trip. WOW

What started out as a Koala mystery, meaning I wasn’t really sure what to expect, soon turned into an experience I’ll never forget. Even though you don’t hold these beautiful creatures, you see them in the wild, completely in their own habitat and literally so close you can smell their breathe. We saw 26 Koalas on our day, what a treat.

We discovered Mikkira Station Koala Sanctuary with Ben. We were the only ones in this private park with our guide. Honestly the most beautiful encounter with these adorable marsupials in Australia. We walked for about an hour and saw 35 koalas, often very close, it was magical! Ben is very friendly and passionate about nature. He gave us lots of information about the koala lifestyle. Ben is also a great photographer and the tour included his photos which he sent to us by email. We also enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon tea at the end of the tour. I highly recommend this experience.
