Sail aboard Bagheera, Wendameen, or Timberwind for a two-hour cruise from Portland, Maine on Casco Bay. Sailing on our windjammers is the perfect way to experience the beauty of the Maine coast, complete with lighthouses, seals, seabirds and the rugged coastline
Casco Bay
Pack a meal, bring your favorite wine or beer and sit back and relax as you slip through the cool waters of Maine. Or, if you feel inspired, join the crew to hoist the sails or take a turn at the ship's wheel. All ages are welcome! Whether you're nine years old or 99, sailing aboard our Maine schooners is a unique adventure. All of our wooden windjammers are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and were built in Maine. Certified by the U.S. Coast Guard, Bagheera was built in 1924 and can comfortably accommodate 35 guests.

5.00Simple, lovely cruise. The crew shared info and conversation with the guests. It was quiet, a real treat to hear the ripples lapping against the hull as we glided thru the water. Our favorite of 4 short cruises we enjoyed along the Maine coast!

3.00The boat is historic and the bay is pretty but your crew may or may not tell you much… and if there is low wind they don’t use the motor to get to any sights you just float.

5.00The Captain and crew were great. Let us help pull the sail up and briefly steer the boat. This is not really a narrated trip, but the crew will answer any questions about the sites viewed. The Captain also had lots of stories. We would certainly do this again.
