We are proud to say that this experience was awarded with the Viator Experience Award 2023 for second time in a row! This tour goes through the Prado Museum highlights. There are more than one thousand paintings inside (no, we didn't make a mistake, that's the truth), so we can't explore it all, nevertheless, we provide the base for you to go on your own after the visit. That's why we like to describe this as a didactic tour.
However, if you're an Art Pro, we've got good news: since we're going to be only 7 people, you can choose what to see and make requests, and that's why we like to describe this as a flexible tour.

What To Expect
Museo Nacional del Prado
Prado Museum probably is the greatest treasure in our country and one of the most important art galleries in the world. After turning two hundred years, our favorite museum still is a wonderful example of artistic excellence. Our 90 minutes visit walks through the highlights of the collection, passing by Bosch, Titian, Greco, Velázquez or Goya.

5.00Maria was an absolutely wonderful guide! Her knowledge of the paintings was impressive, and she had a real gift for explaining everything clearly and in a way that was easy to follow. The breakdown of techniques was one of the highlights — I came away with a much deeper appreciation for the art. What really stood out was how she balanced being warm and personable with a polished, professional presence. The whole experience felt like sitting in on a college-level art class. I'd highly recommend her to anyone!

As we went along she gave us suggestions about more areas to spend time in the Prado which she didn’t have time to show us in her tour. Very highly recommended!

Our guide was attentive, highly entertaining, and very considerate in making sure everyone understood what we were seeing. She gave us a deeper appreciation of the artists, explained the reasons and context behind their works, and helped us better understand the distinct styles represented in the museum. It was an informative and enjoyable experience.

5.00This became one of my favorite museums probably because our guide Stephi who was excellent! She explained the history, the artist and the paintings/art in a way that it flowed naturally and easy to follow! I also loved the fact that you couldn’t take photos so you could actually focus on the art. Our group was small, thoughtful and so the tour went smoothly. Highly recommend this tour before the Picasso museum in Barcelona is you can plan in advance. Helps you understand Picasso even a little better.
