We are proud to say that this experience was awarded with the Viator Experience Award 2023 for second time in a row! This tour goes through the Prado Museum highlights. There are more than one thousand paintings inside (no, we didn't make a mistake, that's the truth), so we can't explore it all, nevertheless, we provide the base for you to go on your own after the visit. That's why we like to describe this as a didactic tour.
However, if you're an Art Pro, we've got good news: since we're going to be only 7 people, you can choose what to see and make requests, and that's why we like to describe this as a flexible tour.

What To Expect
Museo Nacional del Prado
Prado Museum probably is the greatest treasure in our country and one of the most important art galleries in the world. After turning two hundred years, our favorite museum still is a wonderful example of artistic excellence. Our 90 minutes visit walks through the highlights of the collection, passing by Bosch, Titian, Greco, Velázquez or Goya.

5.00Absolutely wonderful! Our guide, Clara, was the best! Our party of 4 were the only ones on the group tour, so that made it especially nice. She took us to the museum highlights and explained everything so very well. We loved the details she pointed out in many of the paintings that we would have overlooked on our own. Highly recommend this tour of this fabulous museum. After the tour you can stay on your own if would like to. When in Madrid, definitely visit the Prado Museum.

She selected specific works and went into great detail explaining the significance of the artist, historical / cultural references, painting techniques, etc. It was a quality over quantity approach which allowed us to learn a lot in a relatively short period of time.

5.00Stefi was an excellent guide. She made contact in advance with useful information and led us quickly and efficiently into and through the galleries, despite the crowds and other tour groups. Her choice of works in the Prado created a fascinating narrative arc that illuminated not only the works themselves but also their importance in the history of the collection. Her knowledge and insight made our visit a highlight of our weekend in Madrid and we cannot recommend Stefi too highly.

5.00My family and I did this tour just yesterday, Jan 14, 2026. Simply fantastic. The museum is beautiful, well managed, and with great facilities. Our guide Steffi, was AMAZING!!! She presented a story outlining the importance of each piece in terms of technical art technique and historical importance and relevance. Time flew by given her very captivating approach and presentation. Super professional! Highly recommend it.
