Our guide How - who's father was a Vietcong soldier - gave us a very heartfelt, and balanced perspective on the war. Going through the tunnels was an intense (but good) experience. Taking a speedboat instead of a bus cost more but was well worth it to beat the crowds and to get fresh air. A truly exceptional experience!

If you are looking to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels without spending half your day stuck in Saigon traffic, this speedboat tour is the only way to go. Highlights of the Trip. • The Need for Speed: Leaving from the pier in Ho Chi Minh City, we bypassed the crowded roads and arrived at the tunnels in record time. The breeze on the river was a massive relief compared to the city heat, and the views of the riverbanks were stunning. • Our Guide, Ngoc Thanh: A huge shoutout to Thanh, who was absolutely brilliant. His knowledge wasn't just "textbook"—he provided deep, emotional, and factual context that truly brought the history to life. He kept us engaged the entire time and answered every question with impressive detail. • Expert Perspectives: What really set this tour apart was the insight into the Viet Cong perspective. Thanh explained the ingenious engineering of the tunnels and the strategic use of the environment. Seeing the site through the lens of those who lived there—and understanding the logistics of the river as a supply line—gave us a completely new appreciation for the history. The Verdict: It’s efficient, exhilarating, and educational. If you want a premium experience that respects your time and provides top-tier historical insight, book this tour and ask for Thanh.

We did the speedboat tour of the Cu Chi tunnels and it was amazing. The boat left at 7am but it was totally worth getting up early to beat the crowds and the heat. Our tour guide Tony was first class. Very knowledgable, funny and with so much insight about the tunnels and the war. The lunch was very tasty and all fresh ingredients. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic tour! Everything perfect from pick up, the boat trip (highly recommend this as the way to travel to tunnels!), the tunnel tour experience, to being dropped back to hotel. An experience not to be missed and Tony , our tour guide excellent!! Loved his stories, sense of humour, and his obvious pride in Vietnam and his family. Thank you all who were involved in making it a family day to remember!

Tony was an excellent tour guide, and team were friendly and well organised. Everything was well thought of, including last minute food preferences and some minor mobility concerns. Really information and a great experience. I would definitely recommend to others!!

Our family (2 adults, 3 teens) had a fantastic experience on this tour. The absolute highlight was our tour guide - his commentary was engaging, informative and really brought the history to life. We loved how he wove in some of his own family experiences from growing up in that time. Travelling by speedboat was comfortable and a great way to start the day. When we first arrived at Cu Chi, it felt like we had the place almost to ourselves, which made exploring the exhibits even more enjoyable and less rushed. Highly recommended.

Chau (tour guide)- Quynh (host)- Van Anh (captain) looked after us so well, happy, smiley and very informative . The river trip is definitely the way to get there! Arriving before the coach loads. Staggering what the Vietnamese people went through. Well worth going.
