Even after multiple visits to Vietnam this tour provided additional insight to the conflict. And the ride by the boat was excellent. Take the early tour as by noon the site is packed.

Definitely consider it was worth taking this tour to avoid the crowds- we definitely arrived well before the tour groups in buses and benefited from that. Tour guide (M) was excellent - a great blend of information and wit. I felt the tour was well organised (pick up was right on time and we were back in Ho Chi Minh City at the estimated time) and the refreshments provided, including lunch, were generous and of high quality. Also not too long a day and, with the early start, I was able to do some further sightseeing when back in the city. The trip along the Saigon river was also memorable.

I did not think this was a premium experience. I was expecting a guide that was more of an expert compared to the cheaper tours, and to receive more information than the cheaper tours. My experience was the opposite - I could hear the other guides from other companies giving much more info to their group than what we were getting. Lots of information was skipped in our tour. I'm upset that I paid $80 for this tour when cheaper options existed. Not worth the premium price.

Going on the morning departure by speedboat meant we were first tour group of the day to go thru which made for an efficient tour. Guide was knowledgeable and passionate and luch was plentiful and tasty. Definitely recommend speedboat and morning departure to avoid heat of the day and greater crowds.

It was a great tour, second time visiting the tunnels, however first time by boat. Definitely would recommend small boat tour with great lunch. The tour guide was fantastic, knowledgeable and sense of humour.
