Excellent tour with great guide, driver, and food and beverage on board. Long day but well worth it for seeing 3 castles and touring 2, plus a shopping stop. Very comfortable bus.

Totally worth the drive from Munich to see the castles. You will not be disappointed by booking the excursion. I must see if you’re visiting Bavaria. Our guide Susan was very informative.

This tour takes you to two different castles via coach to Neuschwanstein and Lindendorf. Coach for the VIP tour was nice with a snack counter inside and we were offered snacks, pretzels several times including beer on the way home. Guides were excellent and answered questions and ensured you knew where to be and at what times. This tour has the operator purchasing all the tickets and they provide them to you. We went to Lindendorf first. This is a small castle and no photos are allowed inside. Not much walking at this castle and the guide gives a good amount of information about it. The other Castle, Neuschwanstein feels alot more rushed and touristy. No fault of the tour operator, it's just the way the castle itself is operated by the owners. There is a tremendous amount of walking at this castle. Even if you take the shuttle bus up most of the way, you will still walk alot to get to the entrance. Once inside the castle, the tour takes you up 250 steps. The tour itself is short and seems rushed with not much time to actually appreciate what you are seeing after all the effort to get there. If you have any mobility issues, do not do this tour. Afterwards, you must walk all the way down the mountain road to the tour bus. Bevause of this, you do not have any amount of time to actually visit the gift shop in the castle. The castle is worth seeing if you have no mobility issues as a once in a lifetime visit.

I booked this tour as part of my first experience in Germany. I had never done a guided tour before, and was nervous to be in a new country where I didn’t know any people or much of the language. As soon as I got to the meeting point, which was very easy to get to with public transportation, Jaqui made me feel comfortable and welcome. The bus was very comfortable and spacious and offered coffee, tea, water and snacks. The other guests that were on board were immediately kind and interactive, and it was very easy and fun to hang out with them for the day. The castles were beautiful, the villages were visited were great, and so was the food. Smiley, our driver made me feel safe the entire time and I learned so much. I would give this trip ten stars, I’m so happy that I went out of my comfort zone and booked it!

The ease of the pickup point, the comfort of the bus, not having to drive and the knowledge of our guide made this an exceptional experience. Jackie, our guide, was wonderful throughout with a wealth of information that engaging and fun. Lado, our driver, was a master with the bus as he navigated the narrow and winding roads safely and efficiently. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the history of Ludwig II.

Fantastic tour and an amazing tour guide and driver. Extremely friendly and worth the expense. You will definitely come away with great memories. By the way, buy a cuckoo clock and ship it home- when it arrives you will relive the experience all over.

Vlado and Hanao were amazing! They took us through the countryside of Bavaria for a full day. We left Munich on time, with a great couch bus. We had snacks, coffee, drinks, and a bathroom. It is no doubt an elevated experience you are paying for when it comes to conveniences such as these. No matter the stop, Vlado was there to take our coffee and snack order! We stopped at two castles and even made it to Oberammagau in the winter months when it is usually closed off. I think it was because the weather had been quite mild. We had a wonderful day at each castle, both were run by on site guides but Hanao ensured we were where we needed to be to start each tour on time. Especially Neushweinstein castle they are sticklers about the entry time frame so I would book this tour again just to ensure we have someone keeping us on schedule and who can advocate for us to get in. The pictures we got on this tour were amazing. Would recommend it to anyone staying in Munich looking for a day trip out to the countryside. All tickets were included and you had an hour break so you could grab lunch on your own dime in the town at the base of the Neuschwanstein castle.

What a great day! This tour ran like clockwork and was worth the money. Jacqui was very friendly and a guide. It was nice to have snacks on the bus, especially the beer on the way home. Nothing was too much trouble for our driver and host. I would recommend

Loved Linderhof castle and the trip through the alps was great. However the day was slushy, the minibus was not running because of the slippery road up to the Neuschwanstein castle and we had to walk a long way upwards. When actually in the castle we had to manage 225 steps ( a friend warned us of this so I was counting) and then the slippery walk down the mountain was actually the hardest part of all. We are in our late 60’s and in average condition but I would recommend anyone to consider the challenges.
