Following complimentary coffee and pastries at the Cellarium, the 14th century medieval under croft, we enter the Westminster Abbey through the cloister. The cloister entrance offers priority access. This will be followed by an exclusive tour with our professional qualified guide.
An architectural masterpiece, Westminster Abbey presents a unique pageant of British history – the shrine of St Edward the confessor, the tombs of kings and queens, and countless memorials to the famous and the great. You will hear about the most recent coronation of Charles III that took place on the 6th May, 2023, the marriage of William and Kate – the Prince and Princess of Wales, and also stop briefly to pay our respect and celebrate the life of the late Queen Elizabeth II whose state funeral also took place at the Abbey.

Our first experience of Westminster Abbey, one of the jewels in London’s crown and a must see for any visitor, is in the 14th century medieval under croft. Originally used by the Benedictine monks to store food and drink - the Cellarium is now a unique restaurant, and we pause here for refreshments. (Refreshments included in the price)

Ana Marina was a great guide. Lots of information and got us into all the best spots at the right time to avoid the crowds.

Two star review is generous - Complete disappointment and not worth half the tour price. Guide was rude as was greater. Mailed in the history. Group was lost and divided at least twice. Rushed through the royals. Blew past many displays saying “I’ll tell you if it’s royalty” and didn’t pause at any significant historic figures. Didn’t mention Oliver Cromwell until asked. Spent way too much time on Richard I and Braveheart and blew past the Stewart markers. Yes, it was rainy and crowded, but professional guides can manage such things Had similar professional guide tour at the Vatican which was many times better. Perhaps Viator has better guides and we drew the short straw. But I think other tours around us were far better - even the provided audio guides would have covered more

Our tour guide assured us that we would not have a repeat of our previous tour's delay the day before, and then could not find our tickets on her phone, causing us to seek shelter in shade frim an unseasonably hot London day, while she took 15 minutes of our tour time to sort it out.

Our Tour Guide, Peter, was super! He was extremely knowledgeable & fun, engaging both the youth AND adults in historical discussions as we toured the Abbey.

Get Peter as a guide, he was outstanding. Didn’t realize that man people were buried there, including so many unchurched people. The beauty was stunning.

She was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of information. She provided headphones which allowed all of us to hear her. Our family thoroughly enjoyed it. Also got tea and croissants afterwards.

There was a lot of great information and great graves to see. She was very nice and wasn’t too quick. She took her time for questions and it didn’t feel rushed
