Aurangabad, which was declared by the Government as the Tourism Capital of Maharashtra back in 2010, is a famous tourist hub that greets its visitors with a richly woven tapestry of sights and sounds. The city got its name for being the erstwhile capital of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in the 17th century AD. The town is used as the base to explore the extremely famous caves of Ajanta and Ellora, Daulatabad Fort which is renowned for its strong defense systems, Mausoleums of Aurangzeb and Bibi-Ka-Maqbara famous for its architecture.

5.00In fact, I booked a 2.5 day tour with Mr Sajid at JK Tours. The booking process was seamless. I was assigned Mr Qaddir, a senior and knowledgeable guide with a beautiful personality. The driver (Santosh) was calm and conscientious over all the trips, short and long. Day 1 - Ajanta caves - allow a full day if leaving from Aurangabad. Day 2 - Ellora caves and Daulatabad Fort, again full day (the climb to Baradari is worth it) Day 3 - half day to the comparatively modest Aurangabad caves, Mini Taj and Panchakki. Fabulous tour and wouldn't hesitate recommending JK Tours.
