Fantastic Food-Focused Osaka Tour with Caring Guide

5.00We had an amazing day in Osaka, led by our very friendly, confident and caring tour guide Taku-san. We had told the travel company that we had scheduled a Michelin restaurant for dinner after our tour, so Taku-san arranged our itinerary so that we front-loaded the food portions of our tour at the start of the day. Not only that, but he called ahead to the restaurant to see if they would be able to take us a bit earlier than our reservation because there was about a 30 minute gap between the end of our tour and our dinner booking. At the end of the tour he also put us in a taxi and told the taxi driver exactly where to drop us off, as the restaurant was located in a very obscure location. As the temperatures were extremely hot, Taku-San also ensured that we constantly sought shady or air-conditioned areas to take breaks and he even brought frozen bottles of water for us kept cool with dry ice in his backpack. The tour itself was fantastic. Taku-san walked us through the Kuromon market where he took us to several of the food vendors to sample A5 wagyu, some Michelin-rated takoyaki (fried octopus balls), some very fresh sushi and sashimi, and a fun sake tasting. We then went to the Osaka Castle, where he took us to all of the locations to give us some great photo opportunities, and then we spent a lot of time walking around various markets and neighborhoods, including Dotonbori, as well as some off-the-path smaller streets with really good vibes.

5.00Mie was great! She took us to great places to taste a variety of foods. The were all delicious, fresh and savory. You also see how some of the plates are made. Highly recommend it.
This is a must for first time visitors!

5.00Mie was a great guide. She made sure we got to castle and other sights fast and easy. We went to Osaka castle, what a great experience. Mie made sure we had handicap access ♿ to get to all the floors without taking the stairs. My wife has bad knees and feet. Then to the "Black Market and Dontonbori Street. We are Waygu steak, sushi and tuna. All was very delicious, we had options for other food but had enough. If you need someone to guide you around town, this is perfect tour. Domo Arigato to Mie for an excellent day and tour.

4.00Mie picked us up from our hotel in kyoto and she made sure that we got back on the right train after the tour. We explored Osaka’s well known places and got a great sense of the beauty of the city. The cuisines we tried were all amazing, we just wish we had room in our stomachs to try more variety. Mie was even kind enough to loaned me her umbrella. Thank you Mie do much❤️
