Skansin Fortress
Skansin, located in the heart of Tórshavn, is a historic fortress offering stunning views of the harbor and the surrounding landscape. Tinganes
Tinganes, the historic center of Tórshavn, is one of the world’s oldest parliamentary meeting places, dating back over 1,000 years. Nestled on a small peninsula, its red wooden buildings and narrow streets are where Viking chieftains gathered to establish the first laws of the Faroe Islands. Today, it remains the seat of the Faroese government, blending ancient tradition with modern politics.

5.00We didn't realise it was a public holiday on the day of our tour. There was no public transport to take us to the meeting point. We arrived late and furthermore, the weather was unfavourable. But we ended up in an amazing cafe with Birita, our guide, and spent the rest of the tour chinwagging over a good breakfast and had our own unique 'tour' instead. :)
