Lebanon has been making wine in the Bekaa Valley for over 6,000 years — and this private day trip visits three estates that represent the full range of what the valley produces today. Three completely different winemaking personalities. Three cellar tours. Three tastings. One private vehicle, one knowledgeable driver, and a day structured the way a serious wine trip should be.
Chateau Saint Thomas first — the high-altitude family estate where international medal wins have established it as one of Lebanon's most consistent and most underrated producers. Chateau Kefraya next — 300 hectares of Bekaa vineyards and the legendary Comte de M blend that has placed Lebanese wine on serious international lists for decades. Chateau Ksara to close — Lebanon's oldest winery, founded by Jesuits in 1857, with 2 kilometres of Roman cave cellars that make the final stop the most memorable. Private vehicle exclusively yours throughout. Tasting fees payable directly at each winery.

Beirut
9:00 AM — Hotel pickup Your driver meets the group at your Beirut hotel and heads east on the Damascus highway — over the Lebanese mountains and into the Bekaa Valley. First winery is about an hour away.
Chateau St Thomas
Chateau Saint Thomas — the precision opener Start at Chateau Saint Thomas — a respected family-owned estate producing wines from vineyards at over 1,000 metres altitude. High elevation and cool nights create growing conditions of genuine complexity — wines that earn international medals and consistently surprise visitors who expect something more modest. The cellar tour covers the full winemaking process before a tasting of the estate's Cabernet Sauvignon, full-bodied red blends, and elegant whites. A quiet, focused opener that sets the right tone for what follows.

This was an amazing experience. The wineries were exceptional. The Bekaa valley wineries rival Napa. Imad, our guide was awesome. He shared so much history and knowledge the entire trip. He ensured we experienced everything and tailored our trip to us. We can’t thank him enough

Tour starts with hotel pick up which was on time. Approx 1.5 hour drive out of Beirut to Kaaba valley which is worth the view itself. A very fertile valley on the Syrian border growing a huge range of fruit and vegetables. Château Kefraya is the stand out Château and wine tasting tour. Stunning setting and very professional tour by enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. Professional tasting tour vista 25,000.00 Lebanese pounds extra (around £12) but well worth it. The quality of the top reds is excellent, particularly the Comte de M. The Ksara Chateau tour also good and with a restaurant, but we wished our timing would have worked to have lunch at Kefraya which was a much nicer outside setting. Tour takes around 6-7 hours so lots of driving and one of the vineyards was closed. Don’t forget the tour does not include the tastings and entrance fee or any lunch. Guide was OK but not a wine expert. Still a good way to see the beautiful countryside outside of Beirut and chance to try some Lebanese wines. Overall the whites and entry level refs were just OK but the top end reds were very good and worth a try.

I had a very pleasant experience here. My private tour guide picked me up from apartment and drove me to three amazing wineries. Everything about the day out was amazing. Great wine and great company. Brilliant experience.

Have just returned from this day tour and must say how enjoyable it was. I'm a lone traveller and wasn't sure what to expect, but from the first contact with office staff I was happy that the tour would suit my needs. My driver Ahmad was on time, courteous throughout the day, full of useful information, and happy to answer my questions about the places we passed through and Lebanon in general. The wineries and the order in which we visited them were well chosen. Some great wines were sampled!
