Kralendijk
Your tour starts in Kralendijk, Bonaire’s small and colorful capital, which grew around its historic harbor and Fort Oranje. You drive along Kaya Grandi, the town’s main street, where traces of colonial history still shape the atmosphere today. From there, you continue through the neighborhoods where island life unfolds at a more local pace. Here, you notice how green the gardens are, a reminder that nature on Bonaire is never far away. Along the way, we often pause to spot colorful birds and lizards living side by side with the people who call these neighborhoods home.
1000 Steps
1000 Steps is one of the best known highlights along Bonaire’s scenic Queen’s Highway, and of course you also stop here. But this part of the island offers far more than one famous viewpoint. Along the way, you explore hidden sea views, caves, striking rock formations, and traces of the past woven into the landscape. You also get a sense of Bonaire’s remarkable geology, which helps explain the island’s great variety and character.
During this tour, you enjoy several relaxing breaks with a variety of light snacks and fresh fruit.

My family of 7 spent the day with HopiBonaire during our cruise port and it was the best decision we could have made! Since their tours are private you will have complete control over your itinerary including what parts of the island you want to see and how often you want to stop. We had three little kids with us and Sebastian and Jessica were so accommodating every step of the way whether it was helping the kids along short hikes, making too many bathroom pit stops or pulling out snacks when they were getting antsy. We did the half day tour and we were able to see so much of the island without it feeling rushed or chaotic. We enjoyed the most amazing afternoon lunch by the water with homemade food and drinks - no detail went unnoticed. We could not have enjoyed a better day than we did with HopiBonaire! We hope to return someday and will absolutely book another tour with Sebastian and Jessica. Highly recommend!!

We really enjoyed our tour! You will pass all the highlights, but also places where you would not otherwise go so quickly. He knows a lot about the island, nature, animals and history. It is very well taken care of, with drinks, snacks etc. and you get super nice pictures!! Would definitely recommend it!
