Haedong Yonggungsa is a breathtaking temple located on the coast of Busan, making it one of the most unique temples in South Korea. Founded in 1376, this temple stands out from others that are typically nestled in the mountains, as it is situated right by the sea, offering a completely different atmosphere. The temple's name, which translates to "East Sea Dragon Palace Temple," is rooted in a legend that a dragon ascended from the sea to bring divine energy to the area. One of the temple's most captivating features is the harmonious blend of the temple's architecture with the stunning coastal scenery. To reach the temple, visitors must descend 108 steps, and as they do, they are greeted by a breathtaking view of the sea. Haedong Yonggungsa is especially famous as a prime spot to watch the sunrise, with many visitors arriving early in the morning to witness the spectacular scene of the sun rising over the East Sea, casting its golden light over the temple.

Jake is one of the best guides we have experienced over the years--so gifted in the way he presents the history and the background of what we are seeing plus bringing the topic to life with telling about the people and the times. He encourages feedback while keeping us on schedule with all the places we want to experience on our tour with him. He is an excellent driver, speaks fluent and understandable English and being a local from Busan with a well travelled life, offers so much to his participants. My husband and I learned so much from with our most enjoyable eight hours with Jake.

Great tour despite being limited to 6 hours ashore from our ship. Finn our guide was friendly and informative and showed us some great sites. This is a tour with a variety of different sites to see and we even had time to sample some street food in the market! Thank you ❤️

We had a wonderful experience with the Busan day tour with Jason Lee. The entire tour was very well organized, making it easy and enjoyable to explore the city in one day. Jason was friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to answer questions while sharing interesting stories about Busan’s history and culture. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned and covered some of the most beautiful and iconic spots in the city. Transportation was comfortable, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Overall, it was a stress-free and memorable way to see Busan. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting for the first time!

We had an amazing time with our tour guide Mimi. She wisked us away from the ship in a passenger van and took us to see the highlights. She was knowledgeable and friendly and made sure to get all the pictures we wanted. It was one thing seeing these places, but it was a whole different experience doing it with someone who explained what we were seeing. We loved it!

We did a 4 hour shore excursion with Mia who is the absolute best tour guide. Mia’s vehicle is spotless and very spacious. We went to a number of fantastic and very interesting places and also had a great lunch at a place that we would have never found ourselves. The family agreed that it was the best tour we have done. Thank you so much Mia for a great day.
