As a first time traveler to Taiwan, this tour was perfect to go out and tour the city! Our tour guide, Joshua, was so accommodating and very kind in helping my mom and I navigate through the city with a rides to all of the local attractions. He even switched things up based on his expert recommendations and we were so grateful for it. He also helped us out with recommendations for restaurants and local attractions in the other cities that we have on our schedule. If you're new to visiting Taiwan like me, this tour is a must to start your exploration. You'll be able to navigate the city much easier once you go on this tour.

Mr. Jackson was our tour guide today and my family and I can't recommend him enough! From the onset of our guided tour, he was professional, extremely informative, and got along so well with our children they started calling him "Uncle Jackson." His knowledge of his country is top tier which was extremely appreciated as we learned a lot of unknown facts about Taipei. His abilities to coordinate with local professionals, whether it be at tour sites or restaurants, allowed us to skip all lines at no extra fee as he whisked us around at a comfortable pace. A true must-do for any visitors wishing to see Taipei (they offer additional tours as well).

Unfortunately, we had a very poor experience with Jusaiwantour Travel Services. Our guide did not speak any English, despite this being a key expectation of the tour. Instead of providing any cultural or historical context, she simply drove us around and dropped us off at major shopping areas. What was advertised as an 8-hour guided tour ended up being only about 6 hours, with almost no meaningful commentary or engagement. The one cultural stop we made, Lungshan Temple, consisted of being handed a free English pamphlet before being rushed through. We didn’t learn anything about Taiwan, which was the whole point of booking a guided tour. We’ve traveled extensively for over 20 years and have experienced a wide range of tours — some amazing, some imperfect — but this was by far the worst. It felt more like a car service than a guided experience. And a rushed one at that. We strongly recommend avoiding this company, regardless of the positive reviews you might see elsewhere. We have reported the issue to TripAdvisor.

Jennifer was a wonderful and thoughtful guide. I had the pleasure of learning a great deal about Taiwan’s history while visiting the Lin An Tai Historical House, the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Square (including the changing of the guard), Taipei 101, and finally enjoying a lovely walk up Elephant Hill for a breathtaking view of the Taipei skyline. The comfort of being driven around with a well-planned itinerary made the day effortless, and the stop for lunch—featuring delicious local delicacies—was a fantastic addition to the experience.

We had such a great day! My favorite of all the days on our vacation was the Taipei and Shifen area tour. We were able to customize to include the Shifen waterfall and what a spectacular place! Benson guided us, gave us great info, gave us tips on where to eat, and was a fantastic driver. I would do this all over again and I will recommend this for anyone wanting to see Taipei and the area. My kids enjoyed it as well. This is a must do.
