Mosta
Our first destination is Mosta Church. This landmark is known as the Rotunda of St. Mary, is a must-see landmark in Malta, renowned for its breathtaking Baroque architecture. Its massive dome, the third-largest in Europe, is an impressive feat of engineering and a stunning sight. The church is also famous for surviving a WWII bomb that miraculously failed to explode, adding to its rich history. A visit to Mosta Church offers not only a glimpse into Malta’s past but also a chance to admire its awe-inspiring beauty.
Ta' Qali Crafts Village
Next destination is Ta' Qali Crafts Village. Ta' Qali Crafts Village is a vibrant destination where you can experience Malta's traditional craftsmanship firsthand. Explore artisan workshops and discover unique, handmade products like colorful glass, intricate pottery, and delicate lace. It's the perfect place to find authentic souvenirs while watching skilled craftsmen at work. A visit to Ta' Qali offers a fascinating insight into Malta’s cultural heritage and artisanal traditions.

Joseph seems to know everyone on the island, and even if he doesn’t, he enters into exuberant conversation. It helps with getting friendly attention at cafes and entrances to attractions. He knows all the interesting sites and is happy to offer suggestions or just take you where you want to go. We passed a very enjoyable Saturday — a day with minimal traffic — driving and discussing the day’s national election, the changing nature of religious observance and the difference between regular, red and black license plates (still haven’t seen any red ones, Joseph).

We had a lovely family day out exploring all that Malta has to offer. Joseph was very attentive and allowed us sufficient time to explore each destination. Particular highlights for me were the Mdina glass demonstration, the Horse and cart rides and the boat trip to explore the Blue Grotto. I think the children got to experience Malta’s finest and learn a bit about the country too. Thank you Joseph

We had a great day with Joseph, he arrived on time with snacks and his car was clean and comfortable. We viewed the Mosta church, had a horse and buggy ride around Mdina and an interesting display of Mdina glass being made. Joseph was informative and kept the tour on track. Lunch was at a seafood restaurant suggested by Joseph in Marsakloxx fishing village … seafood was divine. We were lucky enough to have a lovely sunny day and could go on the blue grotto boat for an additional 10 euro in cash for the boat operators. After a visit to Dingli cliffs we headed back to Valletta via the 3 cities. Overall a relaxing day out with Joseph.

Jo is a local with years of hosting travelers. He knows the ins and outs of the best way to get around, timing, traffic, etc. The country is beautiful and so is the culture. We were on a cruise. Highly recommend this customizable private tour.

My husband and I were finishing up a cruise on SeaCloud II in Valletta…and despite a city tour and a visit the next day scheduled for Gozo I signed us up for an all day with Joseph after our first trip with SeaCloud II and extension was concluded. We were Exhausted after our 12 days of cruising and touring…and I thought, what have I done? We have a full day yet! But I had read the reviews about Joseph and I thought, he won’t mind if we just cut the day short….we were delighted to see him more than in time, polishing the car and welcoming us warmly….he was always checking to see if I was comfortable and he always seemed to know what we needed! Imagine how delighted we were as he zipped the car around the city and we saw one new marvel followed by another! We had seen several places when we were with our group but dealing with a tour’s and walking long distances to enter a site? Hard! But with Joseph he always managed to get us so close to the venue it was as if we had VIP flags on our car! And as he told us, he knows EVERYBODY! I did not find a souvenir on our visit but magically Joseph presented me with several gifts! What a perfect day! He deserves the excellent reviews. He’s awesome!

Joseph made our Private Chauffeur Island Tour of Malta an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. We were a group of four women, and as I have mobility difficulties and use a walker, comfort and understanding were very important to us. From the very first phone call, when Joseph explained what he recommended we should see in Malta, we immediately felt his professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. Throughout the tour, Joseph showed us the most beautiful corners of Malta while sharing fascinating historical, social, and political insights about the island. It was a day full of emotions, wonderful memories, and lots of laughter. Joseph has a fantastic sense of humour, is incredibly kind, open-minded, and truly attentive to his guests. He made our day special, interesting, and completely free of boredom. All four of us felt like queens! Joseph went the extra mile for us. He took us to a beautiful Basilica where we received additional information from a guide, and we visited Mdina Glass, where we could watch the glass-making process and browse the shop. We explored the Three Cities, admired a stunning yacht marina, visited a picturesque fishing village with a local market, and enjoyed a lovely lunch stop, and much more.... The entire tour was perfectly organised — no unnecessary rushing, no stress, just a wonderful balance of sightseeing, storytelling, and fun. We honestly could not have asked for more. This was a truly wonderful tour with, in our opinion, the best guide in Malta. We highly recommend Joseph to everyone — choosing him was the perfect decision! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you Joseph!

A fabulous experience. Joseph was extremely attentive as we had my elderly mother with a wheelchair with us and nothing was too much bother. Excellent guided tour with well thought out destinations suitable for easy access. I cannot recommend Joseph highly enough.
