What To Expect
Villa le Corti
Our first stop of the day is at a beautiful winery belonging to one of our prestigious Italian aristocratic families. Here we taste three wines paired with salumi (cured meats) – but first, there’s a fascinating guided tour of the historic cellars and the olive mill, which we will reach through underground tunnels that pass beneath the villa
Now buckle up and get ready for some off-roading through ancient woodlands and rolling hills. Hop aboard the 4x4 vehicle and take in the beautiful scenery, from the cypress trees to the rustic farms and churches, as we make our way to Rignana, a typical Tuscan restaurant and winery with stunning views. Get your taste buds ready for lunch of delicious food and red wine (and a blind olive oil tasting). You won’t want to leave!

5.00We had a great time on this tour. We received a great education on winemaking and the production of olive oil. The wines and the food were excellent. Our guide, Fabio, was the best -- full of humor, but also insightful and knowledgeable. Easily the best wine tour I've ever done.

5.00Hands down the best thing we did on our honeymoon to Florence! Fabi our guide was cheeky and fun, but super knowledgeable on all things wine and Florence. The 3 wineries we stopped at (2 for tasting, 1 for lunch ... and wine) were gorgeous, historic, and had the best wine I've ever had. I would do this entire day again if I could... it was perfect. We also did another winery tour through a different company on a different day and it did not even come close to as good of an experience we had with WalkAbout's Safari tour. Do yourself a favor, book through WalkAbout, they're professional, kind, and make the entire experience easy and enjoyable.

5.00This was an amazing tour by far the best tour i’ve had in the 15yrs doing tours throughout italy as well as other countries. Fabio made this a spectacular day and is not only the nicest guy he’s is full of knowledge as well as funny at the same time he taught us so much about the history of tuscany as well as wine.

5.00Gloria and Nando are amazing! This was a great trip (we are a 26 year old couple). We really enjoyed seeing all 3 wineries, and all of the landscapes and venues were stunning. Gloria was a great guide and we loved spending the day with her. The wine was also excellent! Gloria does a wonderful job of catering the tour to what you would like to learn / talk about, and it was also a really fun day. We also got to meet folks at the wineries who would tell us some additional information and do the tastings with us. We got some great photo ops (specifically at the last venue) and the private tour aspect was also really nice vs going with a group.
STOP SEARCHING AND BOOK THIS ONE!!!!

5.006 Close Crazy Friends on an Italy Vacation! Let me start with Gloria! Gloria is phenomenal at her job! You can tell that she really loves what she does! She shared personal stories with us, and was a wealth of knowledge about Tuscany. By the end of the day long wine tour, we felt like she was part of our friend group! She knew exactly what to say to make us laugh and when to just let us enjoy the moment. Tuscany is breathtaking but we would have no idea where to go or where to start without Gloria and the amazing driver Dominico. That man maneuvered us through spots and traffic that I thought would be impossible to get through. The vineyards are incredible. We got to go to a vineyard owned by an Italian Prince, and another Vineyard that is 600 years old (let that sink in!). The lunch at the second vineyard was really good so the walking around at the next vineyard will be a nice change. I can't tell you enough how much we enjoyed this wine tour. As friends we have all done trips together to Napa Valley and Texas Wine Country, but this one was by far the best one!! In fact we had such a great time that we completely forgot to get group pictures of the six of us. HAHAHA. Oh well. I blame it on the wine! Anyways, we can't thank Gloria and Dominico enough for making our Friend's Vacation a trip to remember!! LOVE YOU GLORIA!!! Love, the San Antonio 6!

5.00We recently enjoyed a private wine tour with our guide Alex, and it was hands down the best wine experience we’ve ever had! From the moment he arrived, it was clear that Alex was dedicated to making our day unforgettable. His knowledge of wines and the winemaking process was impressive, and he shared fascinating insights that truly enhanced our appreciation for each tasting. Alex’s personality was a highlight of the tour—he was funny, charming, and incredibly friendly. His attentiveness to our preferences made the experience even more enjoyable! The Tuscan lunch provided was outstanding! The ragu pappardelle with boars meat and black truffle ravioli were unforgettable. The private nature of the tour allowed for a more intimate experience, something we wouldn’t have achieved in a larger group. We were also impressed by the high-quality vineyards we visited, each offering exceptional service. We even had more wine selections than we had originally planned! The comfortable transport added to the overall enjoyable experience. I can’t recommend this tour enough, and while it may not be the cheapest option, it was worth every penny. 5.00Fabio created a very memorable day for our private group. He kept us well informed of our schedule throughout the day. We did not feel rushed at all. Our group really enjoyed his insight and knowledge on all the wines we were tasting, along with the histories of each winery/vineyard. Highly recommend this tour if you want to experience Tuscany in a very unique setting. We were driving along roads less traveled and witnessed incredible Tuscan scenery. A huge thank you to Fabio!
