Outstanding tour. Very comprehensive. Our guide Lucy with LivTours was very knowledgeable, patient and adapted to our needs when we had restricted access with a scooter. We thoroughly enjoyed the full day tour and have wonderful memories of our time n Rome.

Rome is overwhelming. That’s not a complaint — it’s simply the truth. Two thousand years of civilization stacked on top of itself, every corner carrying weight that most cities could never dream of. Walking into it without a guide is like trying to read a novel that starts on page 400. Livia changed that. It was a cold, rainy day — the kind where you question every decision that led you to be standing outside in April. But Livia showed up with the kind of energy that made the weather irrelevant. She didn’t just recite history. She translated it — breaking centuries into moments we could actually feel and understand. The gladiators became real people. The engineering of the Colosseum became genuinely astonishing. The Forum stopped being a pile of ruins and started being a city. What sets a great guide apart isn’t the facts they know — it’s how they sequence them. Livia has a rare gift for that. She handed us Rome in digestible pieces, each one building on the last, so that by the end of the tour the whole picture had quietly assembled itself without us even realizing it. Rome is a city that doesn’t just live in history — it is history, and that history is actively shaping its future. Livia understands that, and she communicates it with clarity and genuine passion. If you’re visiting Rome, do not walk into this city cold. Book Livia. The rain will stop mattering about five minutes in. — Paul M., Signal Mountain, Tennessee

Frenchi was an excellent guide who helped us have an amazing experience at the Colosseum and Forum. My knowledge of the Forum and its history was limited before we booked this tour, but she provided priceless education. I highly suggest this tour if you are looking for a more catered experience. It was well worth it!

Chiara was an absolutely incredible guide for the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Arena Floor. From the moment we stepped in, she brought the entire experience to life with her depth of knowledge and the way she delivered it—engaging, personable, and never overwhelming. Every turn had us completely mind blown with the history, stories, and details she shared. Walking onto the Arena Floor was surreal, and Chiara made it even more special by painting such a vivid picture of what it once was. She balanced everything perfectly—giving us time to soak it all in, take photos, and truly enjoy the moment, while still keeping us on track and making sure we didn’t miss a thing. She was also so kind and accommodating, happily taking photos for us (and not just quick snaps—they actually turned out so good!!). It felt like such a personalized experience from start to finish. Both of our experiences with LivTours have been nothing short of impeccable. If you’re considering this tour—book it. You won’t regret it.

Elysse (Eli) was a wonderful guide. She was aware of us needing an elevator at one time and did not go to too fast. We enjoyed so many interesting parts of the tour and was in all over the great knowledge she had of these items. I recommend this to anyone

Dennis made our experience of the Colosseum and Roman Forum truly unforgettable. From the moment the tour began, his passion for history and storytelling brought everything to life in such a natural and engaging way. He didn’t just give facts—he helped us feel what it might have been like to stand in those spaces thousands of years ago. What stood out most was how attentive and thoughtful he was. He paced the tour perfectly, checked in with us often, and answered every question with patience and depth. You could tell he genuinely cares about the people he’s guiding, not just the material he’s sharing. The Colosseum felt powerful, but walking through the Roman Forum with Dennis gave it a whole new meaning—like the past was gently unfolding right in front of us. His knowledge, warmth, and ability to connect history to real human experience made this one of the highlights of our trip. If you have the chance to tour with Dennis, don’t hesitate. It’s more than a tour—it’s an experience you’ll carry with you long after you leave.
