Due to expected temperature high to be 46'C our guide recommended doing the Northern part of the tour early, this was interesting particularly the fish market where the fish were just being brought in from the boats, from there to the purple island and the deserted old village followed by the fort which had a huge amount of information regarding history and geology of Qatar. From there back for the city tour which was amazing, especially the airconditioned open air plaza on such a hot day. The amazing stadiums and all sorts of unusual architectural buildings were well worth seeing. Our guide Jameel was very friendly and informative, we recommend this tour for the blend of old and new which gave a good overall picture of Qatar
