What To Expect
Peninsula Valdes
This Protected Natural Area, declared “Mankind’s Natural Heritage”, has one of the most fascinating ecosystem in the entire world, Whales, Orcas, Sea Lions, Elephants Seals, Magellan Penguins, Maras, Guanacos, and Choiques live all in the same habitat. About 35 miles away from Puerto Madryn, we arrive to El Desempeño, main access to Peninsula Valdes, the first stop will be the interpretation center where there's a small museum with photos and videos, and sanitary facilities are available. From there we will head to Caleta Valdes, 59 miles away, and there you’ll enjoy the magnificent Elephant Seals and Penguins, and occasionally Orcas. Time is set aside for lunch with a packed meal taking advantage of the natural surroundings. After that we return to Puerto Madryn, where we will finish our visit to this incredible Protected Natural Area to board the ship on time.

The visitor center provides us with a general overview of Peninsula Valdes and its attractions. Additionally, the viewpoint delights us with the view of both gulfs (Golfo Nuevo and Golfo San Jose) as well as Bird Island

5.00We spent a great day with Clara who was bi-lingual and easily switched back and forth from English to Spanish as she navigated us through the peninsula. We saw llamas sheep horses armadillos sea lions elephant seals and ORCAS on our day long trek in an air conditioned van. We were 14 passengers and weren’t rushed or crowded. Tanks for a great day.

5.00We had a wonderful day seeing the countryside in the peninsula. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and stopped to show us a lot of animals. I highly recommend this tour and he made sure we were back in plenty of time to board the ship.
