So much potential, so little time! Richelle is a fabulous local guide full of local knowledge, and did a good job of tailoring a tour to our needs. Prepare to pay for some activities in addition to the cost of the tour, and make sure to be clear and decisive about what you want out of the tour (to ensure you get exactly what you want out of your time).

Aaron was the best. He was extremely informative and very patient with our many questions about Taiwan. We saw several sites but he also did things at our request. His English is excellent. He also made sure that we had water and bathroom breaks. One of the best excursions we've ever had.

Nick Ying was an engaging tour guide, even for someone like me who tends to be on the quiet side. He shared interesting history throughout the tour and made sure to point out key landmarks along the way. He showed and made me taste great food. He also took nice IG worthy pics of me and made the whole tour really enjoyable. Thank you for making my short lay over worth while. I wished my arrival flight wasn’t delayed so I could’ve seen more places or stayed a little longer at the temple to see my luck lol. Would definitely recommend to my friends.

We had a 6 hour private layover tour to Jiufen with Paul. He’s super nice, attentive and fun. He drove and took us to many interesting places. Highly recommended for ones who have a long layover and don’t wanna stay at the airport.

We had a wonderful layover tour with Vincent. He is a great guide and such a wonderful person. He did a great job communicating with us before the tour, when our flight was delayed, and after our tour. He made the most out of the short time we had and gave us a taste of what Taipei has to offer. He helped us get some fantastic family pictures. I enjoyed visiting the National theater and Taipei 101. The highlight of the tour was dinner at the night market and visiting the nearby temple. He went way above and beyond by mailing my husband his phone back that my husband accidentally left behind in Vincent’s (really nice) car. We are a family of 4 (kids ages 4 & 7). He was even thoughtful enough to bring a car seat for my 4 year old. I can’t recommend Vincent highly enough and can’t wait to schedule longer tours with him in the future!

It’s a whirlwind experience. Yes, we were able to visit quite a few places and were even able to enjoy boba tea and a bowl of beef brisket noodles (yum!) but timing played a big role. We came on a Friday afternoon so traffic and parking were major concerns. Jackson was a rockstar navigating through the streets and was kind enough to take us to a Catholic Church we requested. It’s “custom” tour for a reason so don’t shy away from asking and he’d do his best. He even took our photos. It’s still way better than waiting 10 hrs at the airport, given Taoyuan has quite a pleasant one. If you have time for 8 hrs I highly recommend you take it, check in was a breeze when we got back but we didn’t want to risk missing our next flight so we went back earlier than we should have.

My tour guide, Paul, made this tour interesting and a lot of fun. For my tour, we visited the Chiang Kai-shek memorial, the Lungshan temple, Taipei 101 tower and the Raohe night market. The night market was a lot of fun and had some very tasty foods. Airport pickup and drop-off made this tour very convenient.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – An Unforgettable Taipei Layover Tour with Paul Yang! We had a 22‑hour layover in Taipei and decided to make the most of it with a tour—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our whole trip. Our guide, Paul Yang, was absolutely outstanding. From the very beginning, Paul brought the experience to another level. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Taiwan’s history, culture, and food, and he had a great sense of what we would enjoy most. His storytelling made every stop richer and more meaningful, and he took us to hidden gems we would have never discovered on our own. Jiufen Old Street was a highlight, with its lantern‑lit alleys, scenic views, and amazing street food. Paul knew all the right shops and food stalls to visit, and every recommendation he made was perfect. It felt like exploring with a local friend rather than a guide. If you have a long layover—or even just a day in Taipei—book a tour with Paul Yang. The sights, the food, and Paul’s exceptional guidance made this an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

I thought this was a great introduction to Taipei with a long layover at the airport. I saw the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, changing of the guard, and the National Theater and Concert Hall. I really enjoyed seeing the Lungshan Temple and Raohe night market. Paul Yang did a great job with his stories, information and food introductions.
