Visiting the D-Day area was very important to us while in France. We were only able to do a day trip. From the beginning Bayeux Shuttle was fantastic to work with. Lucie helped me set up a 1/2 day private tour that corresponded with when our train arrived into Bayeux. Our tour guide, Mathieu, was amazing. We visited Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery, Longes Sur-Mer battery, and with a few minutes left before our train departed he brought us by the Cathedral in Bayeux and we walked through the Christmas market. Mathieu was extremely knowledgeable and the tour was super informative. We are so thankful for this experience and would highly recommend Bayeux Shuttle!

Pierre-Alexandre was our tour guide. Pierre picked us up at the train station exactly on time. Since this was an all-day private tour, Pierre asked me if I had any special requests. I told him my father was a bombarder on a B-17 bomber and dropped bombs on Normandy on D Day in 1944. Pierre was immensely knowledgable on the events during the allied victory against the Nazi army during the war and the details of the fierce fighting men. My father left me the handwritten flight records of every mission he flow and the target locations. I gave Pierre a copy of those records since he was such an exceptional guide. I highly recommend this tour and especially Pierre. Ask for him when you book. You won't be disappointed!

I cannot imagine a better guide to Normandy than Charles. He has obviously immersed himself in the history of Operation Overlord for years. His face lit up when he related all the stories of that period in history. His passion was contagious. My friends and I were enthralled with this anecdotal account of what occurred on that 60 mile stretch of beach. I admire Charles' interest in keeping this history alive for everyone.

This was an amazing private experience. We spent the whole day with Pierre and he was so knowledgeable & pivoted the tour as needed based on a massive rain storm so we were inside when we needed to be but also perfectly timed the American Cemetery and Utah & Omaha beaches. Would highly recommend & if you can get Pierre even better!

Marine was an excellent guide and adopted well to our groups interest. She was also very knowledgable on the topic even with those in our group who are already well versed in the landing and military operations in general. We hit all the major highlights of the American landings and we all felt there was adequate time to explore at each stop without rushing.

It was a great day in Normandy even while being buffeted by heavy winds - our guide was truly knowledgeable and a delight to be with - she had a true feeling for the moment.

We had the most lovely day with Marine. She was so knowledgeable and friendly and very accommodating. My mother has mobility issues so Marine was able to adapt and make the trip work for her. We covered a lot of ground and learned so much about WW2 and Normandy. It was a perfect day and we were sad it was over. Car was very comfortable and the full day tour is necessary to see all the highlights. For anyone who loves Texas A & M...you will learn a lot about Earl Rudder (future university president) and his brave rangers who scaled the cliffs at Point du Hoc. Rudder Tower, in the heart of the university campus, is 110" tall....the exact height of the cliffs the Rangers scaled on D Day!
