We take you to the most attractive neighbourhood outside the capital. We show you three historical places along the second longest river in Europe. We visit first the largest cathedral of our country in Esztergom. We take you than to Visegrád (former Royal Residence)to show you the breathtaking view over the Danube bend. Here we visit the Castle of Visegrad and you have the possibility to have a little lunch in nice hungarian restaurant. In the end of the tour, we drive to Szentendre a pretty artist’s village close to the capital. Szentendre a former art colony and today a bohemian center with great galeries and outstanding museums. Returning back to the city by car.

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful day on our private tour from Budapest! Gabor took the four of us to two charming towns outside the city, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip. What made the experience so special was Gabor’s combination of deep knowledge and warm, engaging personality. He brought each place to life with fascinating stories and insights we never would have discovered on our own. He was attentive to our group, flexible with the pace, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and culture of the region. If you’re visiting Budapest and want to explore beyond the city with someone who truly knows the area, I couldn’t recommend Gabriel more highly. Five stars without hesitation!

5.00Full day guided tour with Gabriel provided a wonderful experience and understanding of the complex history of Hungary. With the comfort of an air conditioned van in 30 degree heat, the tour was very pleasant with the scenery and explanation on historic significance of each site. Highly recommended

5.00Traveling with Gabriel could not have gone better! Not only was he extremely kind and polite, he was also so knowledgable. The tour itself was a beautiful way to see the Hungarian countryside, and having the addition of a welcoming and compassionate tour guide was a plus! I would recommend this tour to anyone who is staying in Budapest but wants to get out of the city for a bit!

5.00We absolutely loved the tour of the Danube River Bend. Gabriel was an amazing guide and truly made the trip special. He is full of information and allows you to explore at your own pace and do any activities you’d like. The sites and towns are out of a fairytale and definitely worth exploring while in Budapest. Gabriel made this trip so memorable is by far the best guide we’ve ever had. Would most definitely recommend!

5.00Ferenc provided us with a wonderful day filled with so much history, detailed knowledge of local points of interest, art, architecture, customs & culture. We enjoyed going site to site and meandering through the beautiful countryside. He was pleased to answer questions and gracious to divert to show us additional historical sites of interest to us. I would highly recommend this tour as a great compliment to any visit to the Budapest area.

5.00Gabriel was phenomenal in every aspect: historically knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, and loved his country! We did too after spending the day with him. The lunch provided was exceptional too. We would recommend this over and over! We wish we were here longer to take advantage of his expertise on other tours!

Danube Bend tour - 3 cities & an amazing day

5.00My wife and I took a day trip from Budapest to visit the Danube Bend. To complicate matters, we have a 2 year old daughter with a foldable stroller. The guide, Gabor, was punctual, friendly, and extremely accommodating to our situation. He even helped carry the stroller up the castle steps and made non-scheduled side trips when the scenery caught our eye. Gabor's English is fluent and he is very knowledgeable about the area, its history, and makes the countryside come alive. To the tour itself: we visited 3 main sites. Ezstergom (old capital with large church), Visegrad (castle and seat of power during feudal times), and Szentendre (artist village with Serbian background). All three areas were wonderful and we felt like we had enough time to sightsee, especially given our limited pace of walking. We also visited the Slovakia side of the river to take pictures. Lunch was at a nice Hungarian restaurant, which was surprisingly upscale - venison, roasted pike, etc. If you are looking for a day trip from Budapest and are interested in the Danube river and its history, then I strongly recommend Gabor.
