Sophia, our tour guide, spoke good English, and was very knowledgeable about the places we saw on our tour. We spent a great deal of time in the square Tulou and one of the round Tulous. Bought a painting from an artist as well as several packets of tea. We also got the chance to check out a room on the third floor of the round Tulou, and we got to visit the second and third floors of the square Tulou. The Hakka dishes we had for lunch were fantastic. Overall, my younger brother and I had a great time with this tour.

Our guide Lily was very helpful in explaining the Tulou settlement and culture of the people. She brought us to a very nice place for a wonderful Hakka lunch. It was one of our best meals during our Xiamen holiday. Many thanks to our guide Lily

The tour is well organized covering a lot of different spots. Good transportation, a tasty lunch with traditional dishes (some of the dishes seem strange and are more entertaining than delicious). A lot of exotic things are sold on the way (some roots, herbs, fruits, etc.). I had hard times understanding our guide as her English sounds like Chinese if you do not put effort into listening, but the information she provided was interesting.
