We had an incredible time exploring Kyoto with Kaz as our cycling guide! From the moment we met him, Kaz was warm, welcoming, and full of energy. He effortlessly combined local knowledge, history, and humor, making the tour both educational and fun. The route was well-planned, taking us through hidden backstreets, serene temples, and charming neighborhoods we would’ve never discovered on our own. Kaz made sure we were safe and comfortable the entire ride, with plenty of stops for photos, snacks, and insights into Kyoto’s culture. His passion for his city really shines through — you can tell he genuinely loves sharing it with visitors. This wasn’t just a bike ride, it was a personal and authentic glimpse into Kyoto life. Highly recommend this tour if you want to see Kyoto in a unique and memorable way. Thank you, Kaz!

We had a really really Nice tour with Makoto. He took us to a lot of beautiful places in Kyoto and explained a lot about Japanese and Shinto lore which was very interesting. Makoto took very good care of us cycling through the busy streets and even guided my son to a shop where he could buy a yukata. As a hobbyist photographer, Makoto also made some nice pictures of our whole Family. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Makoto and would (and already have) recommend him. Arigato gozaimasu Makoto!

My adult daughter and I were with Rich on a trip to selected sanctuaries. If you are used to cycling, the trip can be highly recommended, even if you are up in the years. Our guide was really good.

This was a fantastic e-bike tour. Our guide Yuichi was the best. The tour was very chilled, yet we saw heaps of cool spots around Kyoto. Yuichi was awesome at taking photos for us. He also took us to an incredible temple where we were able to sit and relax and enjoy the moment. I would 100% recommend this tour.

I had the most amazing experience on the Kyoto cycle tour! The route was stunning, weaving through quiet streets, scenic paths, and iconic cultural sites. Each shrine and temple we visited had its own charm and story, and the tour was perfectly paced, allowing time to soak in the beauty and serenity of these incredible locations. Our guide was the highlight of the tour. Extremely knowledgeable, they shared fascinating historical and cultural insights at every stop, answering all our questions with enthusiasm. They also made sure everyone felt comfortable, helping with bikes and ensuring the group stayed together throughout. The cycling itself was easy to moderate, making it enjoyable even for less experienced riders. The well-maintained bikes and safety-conscious planning added to the overall comfort and fun. If you’re looking for a unique way to explore Kyoto’s rich heritage, I can’t recommend this tour enough. It was a perfect blend of activity, learning, and awe-inspiring sights. I’ll definitely do it again if I return to Kyoto!

Our tour guides, J Jay and Kay were excellent. JJ was extremely knowledgeable and showed us the best parts of Kyoto. We needed help with a small medical emergency and J Jay spent 2 hours of his personal time helping us, without his kindness we would had a difficult time navigating the healthcare system.
