What To Expect

The House of the Virgin Mary

Your guide will meet you at the arrival gate of Bodrum port or Hotel with a sign with your name written on it, any time you want. Then You will start to tour with a professional local tour guide who is licensed by the tourism ministry. After a short journey, you will find yourself in Holly Place where the Virgin Mary spent her last years. Pope Paul VI paid a visit in 1967 then Pope Paul VI declared the House of Mary a pilgrimage place for Christians. In more recent history, the House of the Virgin Mary was also visited by Pope John Paul II in 1979 and More recently İt was visited by Pope Benedict XVI in 2006.

After the House of Mary, you will walk into the ancient city of Ephesus which has been written to history in the gold letter. Our guide will enlighten you about the history of the region, structures of Ephesus, culture, and traditions of ancient life deeply. During the route, you will find the Odeon, bouleterion, the temple of Domitian, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan, the Brothel, the Great Theater, and the spectacular Celsus Library, one of the best-preserved buildings among the ruins and it was the third largest library in ancient time.
