For lovers of archeology and the ancient history of Tunisia
With us you can discover two exceptional archaeological sites, Dougga and Bulla Regia.
The first stop of our excursion is the visit of Testour, this village was founded by the Moorish people at the beginning of the 17th century. We will take a panoramic tour of the city, from the famous mosque to the beautiful minaret adorned with a clock whose hands turn counterclockwise.
Then we will continue to Dougga, the ancient Roman city of Thugga. We will appreciate the visit of the beautiful ruins wonderfully preserved if you are passionate about history and art: the theater, the capitol, the forum, the thermal baths, the houses, the place of the wind rose, the triumphal arch, the Libyco- Punic Mausoleum
Then you will visit Bulla Regia. This archaeological site is famous for its religious buildings: the capitol, the temple of Apollo, the two Christian basilicas, and the church of Alexander.

Great Mosque of Testour
The Andalusian village of Testour is famous with the Grand Mosque, it embodies Andalusian architecture, especially its minaret, which features Andalusian-style inscriptions and architectural elements. The height of the minaret is 23 meters and it is an octagonal shape. The façade of the minaret is opened by small double windows decorated with glazed inscriptions and a mechanical clock at the top. Its appearance resembles the Aragonese bell towers of southern Spain.
Dougga
Unesco classified this site on the World Heritage List in 1997, considering that it is the “best preserved small Roman city in North Africa”. This archaeological site preserves, within its delimitation, the vestiges of different periods of the ancient city with all its components: the monumental center (capitol, forum, market, place of the wind rose ...), the buildings of shows (theater, circus) and the public baths clearly reflect the way in which an indigenous foundation evolved during the Roman period.

We experienced a wonderful day full of culture, interesting details and surprises. Picking up from the hotel worked out fine. Our guide Bileigh introduced us to the sights in detail, very well imaginable for us and also with a lot of humor. What is surprising about the mosque in Testor is to find out for yourself. We were fascinated by the size and good condition of Dougga. Bileigh explained many details and we had enough time to take photos. The next stop Bulle regia surprised us with the "double-decker houses" and original mosaics. Fantastic, we were overwhelmed. Don't underestimate the distances (we came from Tunis). Therefore, a big thank you to our driver who patiently, calmly and safely mastered the course.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on this tour. It went off exactly as described. Our guide Ahmed, and driver Betham, were absolutely wonderful. There was so much we saw and learned on this tour that we would have missed have we tried this on our own. Highly recommend.

A great way to see some of the most well preserved ruins in Africa in a one day tour. Magdi was my driver who got us there quickly but safely. And Skander was my super passionate and knowledgeable guide. He provided endless historic facts during every stop and each ruin and even throughout the van ride which is very comfortable. Highly recommend using this this company when in Tunisia.

This day tour from Tunis to Dougga and Bulla Regia was great. We were picked up in front of our hotel and were the only 2 on this tour. Our experienced guide Guess was extremely knowledgeable about the history and gave us so much information as we walked through the streets, temples, houses and theaters of Dougga and the underground homes with mosaics in Bulla Regia. His command of English was excellent and we also spoke a bit in French and Italian for fun. We also had a brief stop in Testour on the way to Dougga. We brought snacks for lunch as this tour was nonstop as we drove from site to site. Our driver Wagid was very good, though the car was cozy, and we were back at the hotel on time. We highly recommend this tour of important Roman sites near Tunis and this tour company (Didon) really delivered with a great guide and driver. We booked last minute, the night before, and they accommodated us for which we are most thankful.

This excursion was amazing. We watched a lot of Youtube videos of both Dougga and Bulla Regia before booking this excursion, and none of them did this experience justice. The ruins of Dougga are far more extensive and impressive in person. And the same with the ruins at Bulla Regia: the mosaics that are there are so much more amazing in person. We spent plenty of time at both places to see everything, learn about their history, and take lots of photos. There were relatively few other people at these sites when we visited, but we went in the off-season (January) for that reason. Our guide Scander and our driver Madi did a great job of getting us there and back, and Scander was totally knowledgable about everything we saw. We also got to see the Medina at the town of Testour, and had some great street food there. Overall it was an unforgettable experience and was one of the highlights of our two-week visit to Tunisia. My wife and I both highly recommend this excursion!

My husband and I recently enjoyed a private excursion from Tunis to Testour, Dougga, and Bulla Regia, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The highlight of our journey was our guide, Baligh, whose professionalism and warmth made the day exceptional. • Baligh was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the trip. • His deep knowledge of history and archaeology brought each site to life. From the Roman ruins of Dougga to the unique underground villas of Bulla Regia, his explanations were insightful and engaging. • He also shared fascinating details about Testour, enriching our understanding of the cultural and historical significance of the town. We appreciated not only his expertise but also his genuine enthusiasm and kindness, which made the excursion feel personal and memorable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tunisia and especially encourage travelers to request Baligh as their guide. His passion for history and dedication to his guests truly elevate the experience.

The driver was punctual and safe. The stop at the mosque is very brief so barely worth mentioning in the tour. The time at El Jem and Bulla Regia were good but felt rushed. We departed at 8 am and returned before 3 pm. If you’re wanting to go to El Jem and Bulla Regia you’re better off finding a bus tour that will be cheaper.
