With your Pro Tour Guide, leave your hotel before dawn and take the 14-minute drive to the Srah Srang to watch a beautiful Sun Rise, then at 7:00 am you'll explore Preah Khan temple before the other tourists arrive. You'll also wander Neak Pean temple situated in the center of the Reservoir, and then you’ll creep into the Ta Som temple in the Forests and Jungles. Next up, we’ll move to Easter Mebon and Pre-Rup temples. On the way back to your hotel, you’ll visit Srah Srang. What To Expect
Srah Srang
Srah Srang was dug in the Mid-10th century by initiative of Kavindrarimathana, Buddhist minister of the King Rajendravarman II. It was modified around the year 1200 by Jajavarman VII, who added the laterite landing-stage at its western side, probably because the East Baray had been overwhelmed by sediment and had begun malfunctioning. Srah Srang measures 700 by 350 m, there is a small temple standing in the middle of it. The landing stage, opposite the entrance to Banteay Kdei, is a popular site for viewing the Sun Rise cruciform, franked by Naga balustrades which end with the upright head of a serpent, mounted by a Garuda with its wings unfurled. Two guardian lions flank the steps that lead down to the water
